This is because the combination of contentiousness and sententiousness you so readily display steers threads away from rational discourse - all too often, threads you enter seem to decay into namecalling and/or trivial nitpicking. I would, and do, feel that your relationship is sad and the two of you should be reaching out for help, not oppressing casual acquaintances with your vitriol toward each other. In my book, it is NOT OK to randomly spout insults toward anyone who is not present, and therefore is not capable of defending themselves.

Why do I care? One reason is because the intensity of your emotion towards her leads you to make broadly misogynistic statements. I resent them, and they cause me to lose respect for you.

If you weren't hurt and distressed by her attitude, you wouldn't care enough to spout off about it. You ARE hurting, so I hope you someday drag each other to someone who can help. We in the forums cannot.
