Last night I was relaxing with a friend in a quiet sim, minding my own business, when a dead body fell from the sky directly on top of me...

How unpleasant!

This reminds me of a scene from an Aldous Huxley novel, in which someone tossed a dog from a plane...

Good morning, Threadies! TGIF (or TGIS)!!

I have a feeling this may be a repeat offering, but I like it:

(and if you have a chance, congratulate Jerboa on Missouri's win in the men's NCAA basketball tournament (in the Sweet Sixteen round)...he's just a "little" excited about it. :p)

that looks yum, especially the quiche hiding in the back. and i love the coffee cup set... and the coffee. oh, how i need coffee this a.m.

When I was in High School, I was active in our schools Dram Club! :) One year we put on Spoon River Anthology. After about five hours of the ongoing torture part of the set feel on one performer whose closing line, "Spoon River, Spoon River, keeps calling me home", was to close the show... A wall had fallen on him towards the beginning of the final performance but in true theater fashion, the show must go on... we had all forgotten abut him when at the very end, a disembodied voice from beneath the rubble proclaims...."Spoon River, Spoon river...."

you mean he just laid there? for the entire performance? then when all was quiet, meekly sang out? LMAO!

Happy Friday morning all. Is tonight Lil and Spike's wedding? I hope I can make it. I am highly allergic to weddings, but I will try my best.

I have been playing Wow mostly this week and haven't logged into SL except to clear messages. I'm bored out of my mind with SL for some reason. I re-did the photo studio last week that Honey and I share. That was fun. It's pretty much done now though and I am bored again.:/ I need stuff to do in SL,besides nothing...

Anyway, the kitty is doing good. Sadly a few of her siblings have died from what I hear. :(

No fighting in the thread or I'll chain you all up in my cave. Hey wait...that will give me something to do in SL....

Lol, I'm just glad people can't say to me 'you're just a teenager, what do you know' any more.

Turning fifty for me was the same sort of relief.

Somewhere there was an interview with John Cleese, where he said that when he was a kid he thought that when you were 18 you REALLY knew what was going on, and understood life, etc.

Then when he got to be 18, he figured 21 was when you arrived... and then it was 30 and 40...

and finally he realized that no one really knows what's going on at all, and it's a wonder that everything doesn't just fly apart.

I hope you don't find that frightening... I think it's funny and hopeful, actually.

They call it deicing, but it does not really mean that there is tons of ice built up on the plane. Usually you get some ice building in the wings while the plane is sitting still or moving slowly, so they spray stuff on it to melt the ice and keep more ice from forming. The stuff does not work for a long time though, so unfortunately, if takeoffs are moving slow enough, you sometimes have to go back to the deicing area to be sprayed again.

I thought deicing was what was on de wedding cake?

Pep (Sorry - can't stay up late enough tonight to be there, but keep me a slice?)

PS Just thought - this may be a joke which doesn't travel, as you call it "frosting" I believe

I have that complaint too, because I love a 'true' orange. SL oranges are really a kind of sickly 'hot yellow', usually always disappointing. Shoes included, wish I could find some truly orange clothes and shoes.

Exactly.

Unfortunate that that was misinterpreted. I'm willing to bet Lexxi was somewhat flattered.

Unlike Lexxi's undergarments . . .

Pep ( :p )

Which I interpreted to mean that either I wear very little in the way of undergarments or no undergarments. Since it does not cover everything.

Which I took to mean that Pep was calling me a slut, or easy, or something along those lines.

He also had his tongue out and was wiggling it. So I tried to clarify what he was saying by saying something like

"When have you seen my undergarments?"

to which he replied

"That's the problem . . .

Pep ( . . . no-one has)"

Considering that I've been to the hangout wearing a range of clothing, from completely naked to swimwear/underwear to fully covered in a barka . . um bharka . . whatever that thing is called, I was again confused by that response. So I posted some pictures.
