Hiya Claire! Glad to see you back "home"! Yes, missed you terribly, silly question. Ghosty says hi from 10' away, he'd write it himself but swore off the forums yesterday; needed a break from all the nonsense here.

Congrats on adulthood, takes a while to get used to but contrary to some belief, it IS a wonderful place to be :)

OMG - make sure Ghosty gets that passport application in PRONTO!!! This is the high season for getting those processed. You might even want to consider coughing up the dough (albeit it's expensive) for an expedited passport processing.


He did. Like $200 total for it, yikes.

Read on the website it's running 2-3 weeks for expedited right now, so he should be ok. We leave 5/3. My sister is our travel agent and felt confident it would be fine.

Funny story tho. He goes for the picture and then realizes wearing his "Canada" t-shirt for the photo probably was NOT the best thing to do :eek: Duh.

Lol, I'm just glad people can't say to me 'you're just a teenager, what do you know' any more. Gets tiring after a while. Course, I don't know, but it'd be nice not to be reminded of it constantly.....And I can tease the rents about it being 2 decades now, makes them feel ancient hehehehe ;)

I got my hopes up the other day about spring being here...I spotted some blossoms on one of our trees and it was really sunny. Then yesterday it decided to be so windy it blew me right off my feet, and today it was hailstoning. Winter really doesn't want to let go.

Same here. Ghosty wanted to remove the plastic sheeting we have on our picture window, after we saw some daffodils poking up around town. I begged him NOT to do it, reminding him that March was an unsettled month and that window was very drafty, etc.

The next morning we woke up to snow! There was NO prediction for it in the forecasts! Good thing we'd left it up, as the past week saw below freezing temps nearly every morning here in NJ. I think by next week we can safely pull it off, but until I see a week of mornings in the 40's or so, I'm not so quick to take that stuff off - this apartment is freaking freezing without it up!

I did have a great time at the beach on my "girls weekend." :) Good company, a lovely house right on the beach, and sunny weather (it was, however, a bit brisk and very windy).
