From: Oryx Tempel Can I just comment that the guy who wanted to learn how to log in different accounts to SL at work really pissed me off? There are literally hundreds of thousands of people without jobs right now, and he wants to fuck around? How many people would take his job in an instant? /me scurries off to find the threads she has missed this evening.

From: LittleMe Jewell /me scurries off to find the threads she has missed this evening. Was yesterday actually. Probably somewhere down on the 2nd or 3rd page by now. Sorry for complaining, it's just that we already know of people who've been laid off (*crosses her fingers*) and it seems like a slap in the face to them. Meh. Speaking of which, off I go. *wave*

Yeah, I know people that have gotten laid off and a few that still might. Luckily (sort of) I work for government and layoffs are unusual there, at least for anyone that has been there for at least a few years. However, we have already taken 2 furlough days in 4 months and likely will have 3-6 more before the year end. But, a day here and there without pay is still better than a layoff.

I was a ghost - I have proof!
You know how we get reports of ghost avatars stuck in sims. I had one next to my property once and helped to free them. Well, the other day I crashed when I TP'd to a beach party. It took me ages to get back because the whole computer crashed and i had to restart it from the CD. Anyway, when I logged back in, I got an IM from someone saying they could see me standing on the beach even though I'd been offline. When I got back to the beach, the other 'me' was nowhere to be seen!

*waves to Conifer and Amara* Good morning, Threadies! Last night, I was thinking a lot about family members, and in particular, one uncle to whom I was close (I miss him ). Anyway, my uncle was a firefighter, and so when I went to look for breakfast fare, I came across this one entitled "firefighter breakfast." (holy, um..cow...that's a lot of animal protein!) And some coffee: some fruit:

You can't swing a dead postman in my family and nothit a fireman, and if you don't hit a fireman, you'll most likely hit a cop. I love firehouse breakfasts. I'm going to one this weekend at one of the local houses for a fundraiser.

Morning all! It's the beginning of my usual 4 day weekend (not by choice) and it's raining, but meh, no biggie. I'm still recouperating from being sick, slow going and nothing pressing other than getting to the post office so Ghosty can get his passport for our Bermuda trip in May. Not much else at the moment, off to figure out breakfast which is tough when you have a cold, nothing seems appealing, but more coffee is a given. I even have Seattle's Best in my canister, must like Maureen posted
