Yep logged in. I dont even get the all sizes option on his pics.I dunno.:(

It is the settings. I've changed it. You can link to my pictures now (you being Rioko, not you as in general thread; Maureen can also because of the settings).

I HAVE RL MUSIC I WANT TO BE PLAYED ON SL, I HAVE BEATS AND SONGS, CHECK ME OUT ON MYSPACE AT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/MADCITYLIFESTYLES, IF YOU WANT TO REACH ME ON SL MY SCREEN NAME IS TOMMY BRUCATO, PLAY MY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!
It's often not easy getting started for musicians. You might try looking for "live music" in "Search" under the "places" tab and going to some live music events.
After you have a feel for how these things go try IM'ing the people who put these events on and see if they can use you or give you some advise. Especially if you find a venue that features the type of music you play. Good luck.

I thought we covered this in post #58312. Is your memory span shortening, 3Ring? Or did you think Scott needed to be told twice? Or maybe you both have all of my alts on ignore . . .

Dan the memory Man

Update on the Ex-Fiancee:

I can tell she's disturbed by what happened.

She's still planning on moving to Kentucky to live with friends & "find a job & go to school". I miss the days of being young & dumb and full of dreams.

We've gone out twice now. Mostly small stuff. BUT- I no longer end the evening with "I Love You". More like "Night. See you later".

While my heart wants her back, my brain says "Let go". :(:(

Only time will tell

i didn't know she was back with you.

*hugs* i wish you luck and happiness, whichever way this goes.

No Don't!

That was a very poignant and admirable post Honeybear made. It's obvious she felt a need to say it , so it should remain. I don't think anyone here will think any less of her for it, in fact my already high admiration for her has grown because of it. :)

All the more reason to keep them. There is a growing culture of entitlement and feeling sorry for oneself, that our problems are all someone else's fault, and we can't do anything to fix them, we need to depend on some entity, not just for help, but for our very existence. The desire to succeed, to strive, to go beyond, to better ourselves so we can better our condition is being bred out of us. Suceeding at something is becoming something to be despised and villified in some quarters, petty jealousy and envy replacing admiration and inspiration. We are headed for mediocrity as the accepted norm, where everyone may have enough to survive, but that will be about it.

Yes, and it's important to get a grip on it before it becomes a major one. But...I'm going to publicly admit something I don't normally, so that you deeply understand what I'm saying.

Honey, thank you for being so brave as to post this (I didn't feel it necessary to quote the whole thing again).

In my life, I've seen how addictions can take their toll on the lives of those who are involved with whatever the chosen drug of choice is (and by drug, that can include alcohol, sex, SL, food, whatever you use in a compulsive fashion to keep feelings you'd rather not deal with at bay) and those who love them.

I myself have been affected by this through family and relationships; and was counseling partners of a particular type of addiction for a few years. When I came into SL, I suddenly had a new and deeper understanding of what the addict themselves might be up against. While I had dabbled in drugs, I was lucky that I never got addicted to anything (probably more out of lack of funds and fear of being caught), however, SL truly did have a hold on me once I really got involved and I can see in retrospect how there were times that I let is consume me.

Anyway, I admire you greatly for telling us part of the reality of your life. Many hugs to you :)

What Elora said... Honey... sharing your story is not only brave but selfless. You overcame something that many cannot. I am in awe and admire your perseverance to stay away for so many years. You... rock.

HoneyBear, I think you are very brave for what you have posted and shared here with us. The fact that you beat your addiction when it mattered shows incredible strength and power of will. I admire and applaud that. *hugs*

this might sound a little strange, but i am addicted to not being addicted to anything. i have relaxed when it comes to SL because it has seemed relatively harmless overall - although i am clearly hooked, much to the slight disapproval of my husband.

LOL... Me too 3! I have won my partner's approval for my time in SL but I am not gonna say how... just know... I put my favorite love songs on tonight... lit some candles... gave him a playful tap with my foot where he was asleep on the floor in front of the TV... ran off into the darkness for a game of hide-n-seek... again, I'm not sayin' but he is sleeping soundly now...
