Good day, Threadies!

I'm sad about Paul Harvey. What an incredible influence he was for so many people in the U.S., for such a long time. My parents listened to the same radio station every day. It was turned on in the morning when my mom went downstairs to start breakfast, and got turned off just before dinnertime, when my dad was arriving home from work. Paul Harvey was there, every day, in our kitchen.

*sigh*



Anyway...in happier news (for me)...IT'S SNOWING!!!! There's a huge winter storm warning for the DC area...I can already see people in their pre-storm frenzy of getting to the grocery store for their year's supply of milk, bread and toilet paper.

OK, now it looks like there's a little something for everyone (coffee service to follow, though):

I was up too late and didn't think anything I wrote would sound any good this morning, so I was just waiting for you to say something Beautiful cold and sunny morning here, but looks like we're going to be in the sixties almost this week so it's definitely getting better! 12 degrees here right now.

Thanks 3Ring. To answer your point, I was responding to Honeybear's wonderful post. I accept that there are a few posts in this thread that are not specifically about Resident Answers or the use of SL (maybe about 50,000 or so?), but my post was about SL, my experiences with it, and the potential consequences both good and bad.

I do want to thank you for your kind words, and those of others who have responded, both within this thread and the many who have responded personally. It is both heart-warming and reassuring to know that many of the regular posters in this thread recognise that there are two sides to every story, despite the associated hype, and your sympathy and understanding is welcomed. I would also like to thank all those that have supported me through tough times in the last year or so - this has been invaluable in helping me to understand what happened to my marriage, and what it was really all about.

Suffice to say 3Ring, yes, I am indeed over the emotional element of things (the difficult part to resolve), and my vision is no longer clouded. The good news is that I am sure that the remaining issues, including the return of $36,000 and any of my property that has not been destroyed (principally my camera), will also be resolved very soon, along with formal clearance of my name and restoration of my reputation. Then everyone can go on and plan for the future, and most importantly, have fun again!

It's snowing in Boston as well... looks like a snow day for the kids tomorrow.

Today is going to be a day of housecleaning. Oh, well! Hope I can get inworld sometime later. It was fun at the hangout last night... I finally got to meet Maureen, for one thing.

Mr MacM was quite nice last night... he was so pleased to find me NOT on the computer for once, and we just sat and chatted until I couldn't keep my eyes open.

So, peace will reign as long as I can be moderate with SL.

my point was, don't talk about it anymore. especially in this thread. this is a happy, fluffy thread. a place for good friends and new friends and hopefully new friends to meet.

Good morning to everyone. We ended up with a nice little crowd at the Hangout for a bit yesterday evening. Wonderful conversation and a few ladies graced us with pole dancing on the bar.

I took lots of fab pics of Rio & Key and then of Rio & Zena - and then discovered later that I had my UI showing in them. Rio and Zena were still there, so they were kind enough to give my camera a few more shots -- they will be up on flickr soon. Alas, Key had left and so I'll have to get new shots of her another time.

Yay!!! Coming to play with Wren I'll wear my special tag and go kitteh hunting - in a good wa people! No kittehs will be harmed- they're just off roaming and need to be corralled!

Mo, I haven't been to B5 in awhile. They redid the sims recently, so I don't know the new layout. I dropped by very briefly the other night, but didn't have time to look around.

One thing is certain. If you go to Z'ha'Dum, you will die.
