(with maybe someone else's backside to break the impact?) Would you yell, "Look out!" or "Hold me!" ? (Maybe I should open a thread with that question -- or better yet, a poll -- or better yet, a poll that shows the results.) - no I cannot imagine - yes I can imagine but I would not shout - yes I can imagine and would shout "Look Out!" - yes I can imagine and would should "Hold Me!" - yes I can imagine because this has happened to me - yes I can imagine but I was the one on top - yes I can imagine because this is a recurring dream/nightmare - yes I can imagine and am going to rig up the mirror tonight - other (please specify) |

Yes, I am leery of hanging anything above the bed...or on the wall above the headboard... From experience I've learned never put your shotglass collection on a shelf above the headboard. Especially a shelf that is just wood resting unattached on 2 metal arms.  _____________________

OK, am I the only dope who never noticed that aluminum foil cartons have holes in each end? Just received this in an email: "Who looks at the end of their aluminum foil box? You know when you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box?? Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time. Well, look here:"  omg when did they start to do this thing??and it's on the plastic wrap also.. i cook all the time too and never seen this till now.. oh i wonder if my mother knows?? hehehehe  she is gonna hate i found something she has over looked all these years..if she doesn't know already  _____________________

My daughter wanted to make some cookies a while back and pulled out an old container of Crisco shortening. It was buried in the back of the cupboard. It was sort of a yellowish-brown color. It had an expiration date of roughly 10 yrs ago. Isn't that how one of the sequels to the the film "The Blob" starts out? |

I come to you this evening to correct a grievous oversight. At 1:01 pm, on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, a new visitor made his presence known by posting a response to a news report posted by, coincidentally enough, another new arrival. I welcomed the original poster (Tomas Fulham), and distributed my bounty. However, I did NOT greet, nor did I gift the other new thread visitor. I am here this evening to right this wrong, and ask both the slighted party and the Thread for forgiveness. This is the post I ignored, on page 2337 (in my viewer) /327/85/252954/1455.html#post2159242 A huge pig called Bruce has trapped a terrified woman in her home in Australia. Caroline Hayes, 63, tried to leave her house in Uki, New South Wales, to use the outdoor toilet, but the animal bit her and shoved her back inside. Bruce, who is the size of a Shetland pony, showed up at her home 10 days ago after his owners were unable to cope with him and let him loose in the rainforest. Hayes began feeding the beast, but he became more aggressive, demanding more food and biting her on the leg when she tried to go to the toilet. Bruce?
