My Dad took me to see it, he was more psyched out than anybody about. He loved Jean Shepherd on the Radio when he wass a kid, and he made a point to tell everyone about it when they brought up the movie.

BTW, get out the heavy duty duct tape. I'm done with "out there".

The scene where the mom is getting Randy into his snowsuit brought back such memories. My mom used to "shake" us into our snowsuits. :D

ETA: Gabriele, thanks for the duct tape supply. I couldn't lay my hands on any here at the salon. :p

I got as far as 40 last night and then remembered I'd just spent the last two months slowly going through my inventory, trying and in most cases dumping, folders of not so great freebie items. Think I'll see what's in these new ones before deciding whether to continue!

I am sooooo ready to just walk outside and scream at the inane stupidity of the school systems and others that have just gone way too far in their desire to protect the masses.

One of the schools in this area:

A quote from the article:
"There's no mistaking that these are not real rifles," said Proctor. "I think somewhere along the line, logic has to take over and they have to be able to make exceptions to the rules."

Therein lies the major problem -- our various administrators no longer use any freakin logic in anything they do.

if i read these forums with my old computer, the same thing happens to me.

Good morning Threadies! I went to sleep last night, accidentally leaving a loaf of french bread and a wedge of cheese out on the counter. Guess what's now NOT on the counter this morning? Damned dogs. I was looking forward to some cheesy toast for breakfast. :(

LOL

i once had a german shorthaired pointer that was famous for that behavior. if i dared leave meat to thaw and leave the room, she'd get up on the counter and eat it all up, plastic and all. the first few times it happened, i didn't realize it was the dog, because she ate EVERYTHING (styrofoam a couple of times too).

i finally resorted to leaving it to thaw in the fridge (best anyway) or up on top of the fridge if i needed a quick that. she DID try to get it from up there, which was when i found out she could jump straight up about 4 feet off the ground.

You better apologize out there Mo, since there is the idea that this thread is an exclusionary clique.

Considering the posts, that boggles the imagination. Even Groucho Marx could join the club. Even the elephant he shot in his pajamas could join, if he could type on a keyboard.

They've forgotten they were once educators and have become nothing but political hacks.

Yes thank you, at 7am NZST my friend Phia and I finished finding and collecting all 245 gift lips - Yay! for us.

Yes in the end there were only 245, and not 250 as we were told by a participating vendor lol.

Now I cannot sleep for some reason. Oooh I did for a couple of hours between 7am and 9am.

Thanks, I dare not even look at them. I'll probably do what I did with the easter ones, just hide them in my inventory someplace until I get bored enough to tackle them. Oh and nope the easter ones have still not been tackled yet
