OK- I just need to comment and can't do it in RL- my boss just came to me and asked if it would be too penny-pinching if we do not make coffee every day. There are three people in this office of whom only two drink coffee, he and I. Make that only one person now drinks coffee as I am perfectly able to purchase my own on my way in. /rant, tvm for listening

Lol- wonder if he will notice my very evident new habit of picking up coffee on my way in in the future.

And btw - totally getting fed up with things "out-there". I don't have any questions right now, so don't have anything to post- all that crap outside is getting to me - not much happening in my in-box either that i need to be checking for -

later, gater- have fun

*hugs*

However, it will be mighty interesting to see how he responds, once he notices that: a) you're bringing in your cup of joe, and b) he's got none on hand in the office. :p

Correct!

The megaprim I'm using is a 65530x65530x0.25m torus. The client would normally visibly render it, but a couple of the object values have been changed (skew, cuts, radius, etc), which ups the complexity enough that finally the client just looks at you like you're crazy when you ask it to render the thing. The side effect is that if it's attached to your avatar, your mesh, skin, and clothing disappear - like an invisiprim KINDA, except you don't eclipse other avatars and water, etc, that're behind you. You're just....not there. ....

You have just eclipsed Immy as the Evil Genius Poster Child of the Forums!
Cody...can I have one of these things? Pleeeeease? I'll give you my pogo stick. Or I would, if I HAD a pogo stick.

I quit drinking coffee almost completely because my boss would never make an effort to bring any in and I got tired of buying it for everyone.

Heya folks, hope everyone is having a good day.

Last night I said goodbye to Fantasy Shores, and today I've moved onto Gaby's land :D

Looks like Brenda just got herself a new neighbour :p

Claire!!! If I had known you were moving out...well, last Saturday's party could have been even crazier!! At the very least, we could have grafitti-ed the place. :p

And sounds like we'll be having a 3-day bash at Gaby/Brenda/Claire's places. :D

At th' borin place, they used to offer -- an I kid you note -- seven varieties of coffee, from a decaf all the way to a Kona. These were cut back to "regular an "decaf" a week before they did their first round of layoffs.

Me, I never figured out why they offered so many different varieties in the first place, and that if they've kept it simple then, they wouldn't have hadda take away later. Story of that place, though.

Coffee, juice, and pop provisions always seem to mirror the financials with scary accuracy. Watch your work kitchens, folks, and prepare!

58% of full, it would seem. I guess it's not tidal forces affecting brain chemistry after all! :D

There are companies that buy coffee for their employees still?

I've been here over 20 years and never had that perk (pun intended).

Wow, I've spent at least $5200 on my own coffee if you figure it at $1.00 a day and that's lowballing it. Throw in an occassional Starbucks and, OMG

The side effect is that if it's attached to your avatar, your mesh, skin, and clothing disappear - like an invisiprim KINDA, except you don't eclipse other avatars and water, etc, that're behind you. You're just....not there. Except for any other prim attachments you're wearing - those show up fine. It's a greener, lag-free alternative to an invisiprim if you want to make a prim avatar of some kind (say, a skeleton or robot-thing)/QUOTE]

It is rather cool. Ghosty did this on the way to Claire's party. However the problem was on my monitor he showed up completely gone. A total ghost as it were. Even the prims were missing. I'm like, how can I dance with you if I can't find you?

He discarded this effect for the evening, for the parties sake but I'm sure he'll be using it at some point. Works quite well, unless you have a cruddy video card :(

My poor computer had a hard time between a bazillion admirers and all the particles, but I managed some cool shots of the Dex man anyway. Hopes someone got pics of the forum people who attended. :)

These are 1042x768, btw, which is why they aren't posted normally. :)

@ Soji re: pix

/me blushes :o

That "outfit" is called Madame Chocolate. I told Rioko it sort of was like Marie Antoinette meets a Hershey Bar lol. Has chocolate bars on the hair and I think the shoes may be kind of chocolate pieces too. The hair is scripted and I'm pretty sure their were pieces of candy falling off of it hehe. And yea, kind of half-dressed to say the least. I was trying it on when Ghosty told me about Dexter playing and I figured what the hell, I'll just go out like a harlot for a change :p

Lookie an actual SL question:

In the new RC,am I correct to assume the yellow guy on my minimap is a friend list resident? (Honey logged into the sim earlier and I seen a yellow dot as opposed to green dot...) Winged dots....whatever....

Interesting. Consider putting this out in the main forum...but I hadn't noticed that. Want to experiment tonight if you don't get an answer?

Sure,I'll go make a thread. I have been using kirstens for awhile now and just DL the RC yesterday. So have no idea what this is.

Yes. In the RC, friends will show as yellow dots on your minimap. It's a darned handy new feature. :)

Oh good, you saved me from thread making.:D Now, can I see these little yellow dots on the big map no matter where they are or only in same sim/mini map? Because that would just be strange and I'll have to remove everyone from my friend's list because I am paranoid.:o

When I was playing with the RC, I didn't even think to check the big map. But I seriously doubt it. It would remove the purpose of "allow friends to map you" permission.

Scary thought. I'm not even sure I like the idea much of it being on a sim. If I'm trying to work, or perish the thought, take some peace and quiet somewhere on my sim, then I can be found by friends. Does turning off the "can see me online" remove it?
