Uh oh...Don't listen to her, Kaimi!

See, they never tell you about the downsides to being Undead.

- You will never get a tan again. Or even see the sun. Forget that Caribbean cruise...
- You will live...er, exist...in constant fear of discovery.
- Vampires, for all their strength, are surprisingly fragile creatures. They are vulnerable to many things. It must be thus, or we'd be hip-deep in them.
- Death will continue to trouble you...even more so since your soul is damned. And if it doesn't worry you, you will most certainly be reminded of mortality daily, as you must take lives in order to preserve your own existence.

Don't get me wrong. I love Gabriele and our other Dark Ones. I love the sexy way they play the role. Just...read the fine print, OK?
Muhahahah :) VV

The Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate is addictive!
I think I gained 10 lbs just reading and thinking about that.

How the hell did that thing double post? It gave me an error when I first tried to do it a few hours ago, but looks like it really took it anyway.

/me looks out the window of her office at the Starbucks across the street...

Across the street? Literally?

I wouldn't have a dime in my wallet with that temptation. I don't care for their regular coffee much (although I buy it at home to brew and do enjoy it that way where I can regulate it myself) but I LOVE their lattes, Tazo teas and special season things.

Of course, I did also find the Tazo Passion tea in Target for only $3.50 a box and I now can make a whole pitcher of tea for .68 cents and it lasts me about 2-3 days. That just galls me when they charge like, what? $2.00 or so at least for one of them?

We're all suckers when you come down to it, and addicted too. Kind of sounds like SL now that I think of it :o

We had a high of mid-upper 50s on Sat and then the cold front hit hard -- a high only in the single digits yesterday, with a record-breaking low of -15F. Today, we have not yet got above 0 and since it is currently -3 and 2:15 in the afternoon, I do not think we are going to hit the forecasted high of 18 degrees today.

Literally, right across the street. There's also a branch of the Chicago tavern immortalized in the Saturday Night Live Olympia Cafe "Cheeseburger!" sketch:

I saw two examples of the extremes last snow storm.

Driving too slow: There was a hill that is easy to drive over in normal conditions. It had snow on it. Person ahead of me was driving about 1 mile per hour. Not up it. He was going too slow to push through the snow. He ended up sliding off the road.

Driving too fast: I was on one of the parkways. Going a good speed for the conditions. Truck flew past me going about 10 to 20 miles over the speed limit. Hit the curb, or an especially large snowball, or a snow-buried mini cooper and went flying through the air tumbling. I think he ended up on his side, but this does remind me of another flipping through the air car story, though no snow - long time ago a sports-car was going about 90 down the road. Not sure what happened but the next thing I saw was the car spinning in the air. Landing on its tires, braking wildly. And then slowly moving forward again.
 I've seen stuff like this too.

Here's a picture of my own amusing story:

The yellow car is me.
I could see by the orange cones that I wasn't supposed to go there. But I saw the blue car coming and I didn't want to wait for it.
And I could see that there was nothing to stop me from going through the blocked off section.
I even sped up so I would get there first and not confuse the blue car about what I was doing.
It wasn't until I made the turn that I realized the asphalt was coated in fresh oil. I did a complete 360.
As I started forward again the people in the blue car actually pointed and laughed at me as they went past. It was good to be alive enough to be embarrassed.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Trouble? Moi? C'est non possible!

Seriously though, Yes, it is true that expressing my honest opinions seems to upset a few folks. Well I don't really spend too much time worrying about that as it does not matter in the grand scheme of things.
It also seems to me that some people think that discussions should not violate the carefully crafted and very fragile cocoon they have wrapped around themselves.
What can I say? My thoughts and views are often unconventional and produce disruption in the placid calm of other people's lives.
I make no apology for that at all.

I doubt there is a woman alive or ...not alive, who does not feel that way when you are around them Yosef. I think I can safely say you can bring our smiles out and make our hearts beat faster even when we are having the worst of days :) Thank you.

Which is why we love you. :) .

I agree with you. The Internet, and the real world for that matter, is full of people who like to give their opinion but don't like having it challenged.
