Vamp, i put him on straight dry food (kitten chow cuz it's made to fatten them up and it's little tiny pieces) and cut out the moist stuff to see if that makes a difference, but it's hard for him to eat it.

sometimes he coughs uncontrollably and can barely breath when he eats. seems like he swallows stuff whole and does not chew.... i'm starting to think he has something stuck in his throat. his breath is gross.

i dunno if i mentioned, but they found him he was so thin (boney) and weak, he could not walk or meow. i don't yet know if that rough start is going to have lasting effects.

ok, i won't post anymore unless it's so frikkin kyoot that it deserves a LoLcat space.

Vamp, i just point n click. i 'get' computers and remote controls, cameras and phones are out of my realm. LOL


He is super cute! Looks like he may have a little Siamese in the woodpile (ie. his eyes) and it sounds like he is well on his way to becoming a happy cat.

you guys totally cracked me up with the taco bell info....same for me LOL

as for the kitty....i have successfully used babyfood in the past for ill cats. esp the meat kind that is not runny at all....just be sure to have a litter box nearby....it acts like taco bell in some lol. if you microwave the meat for like 10 secs in the jar, the smell will make it more interesting to them even if they are sick.

Aww 3ring as someone who doesn't hate you and as someone spends too much time
feeling sick after I ingest anything these days I wouldn't want to wish this on anyone,
even some one I disliked.
/FD who has been very tired of his meat self hunched over a whole lot the last week and really tired of having and run and go....and trying to be grateful I can run and go if you

What is classic rock? Which years? I listen to, on occasion, "classic rock" radio stations that includes music from the '70s to, odd to me, early '00s (as in 2000, not 1900). I also listen to music from the dawn of time up to today, for that matter, but what specifically do you mean by "classic rock"?

Oh what a sweety. One of our cats was very sick when we first got her from the pound. They told me she had a cold but it turned out to be a more serious respiratory infection plus she had two kinds of intestinal infestations and ulcers on her eyes! At one point we had to force water down her throat to keep her alive. But $1500 in vet bills and a couple of weeks later she was fine and she's pretty much been a pistol ever since.
Hopefully your new kitty is in much better shape than that and will be just fine soon. For sure he got lucky when he found you!

i'm gonna miss TB. it was always my fave. :(

he's a good little eater. i had bought turkey meat sicks (toddler food) the day i picked him up, but it accelerrated his bowels so i had to stop that right away. good point that maybe the straight meat (less salt) would have been a better option.

right now the goal is to obtain a solid bowel and determine the cause of his bad/breath & coffing. his belly isnice n round now, so i hope that spreads around the rest of him pretty soon. his back is still somewhat skeletal which makes him feel so frail to me.

i've never had a siamese. in fact, i don't think i've met one. yours are pretty cute kaimi. little darlings for certain!

a respiratory infection was whispered to me earlier. i haev decided to take him to the doc on Monday to have him examined. he "acts" healthy, except for the coffing/sneezing and runny bowels... and that he drinks an unusual amount of water.

for teh record, I am the one who is lucky. i love when animas rescue me. it always happens just when i need a gresh perspective the most.
