I am ashamed to admit I knew there was a country song that fit this...
I actually heard it on the radio this morning -- I listen to Country at home in the mornings while getting ready for work.

I like country music but- omg- a song that says I'll check you for ticks?? Yes- I know it's an expression but so is sh*^flows down hill and I don't want to hear that in a song, tvm  I'd rather hear how he crashed his pick-up the day his momma got out of prison- oh wait, I think that's been done too :o

A very long day for me also. Not so much in 'hours' but in how slow those hours will seem to pass ............
Cuz I am leaving tomorrow for a week in Mexico - and I can barely wait to "get out of dodge".

Wow. I'm leaving tomorrow for three weeks in Mexico. It'd be funny if we were going to the same place.

...And I just saw this, which answered my question. I'll be in Playa del Carmen - about 35 miles south of Cancun.

I will admit to watching Saturday Night Fever over & over & over and learning how to do every dance in that movie. But I do seem to only be able to tolerate very small amounts of that music these days.

You were a little more growed up when it came out, so I can understand that.I was just a little kid. I love 60's and 70's music , along with the 80's of course, but once the 90's hit and I was in College, I got more into Jazz and Classical and started to listen to less "Pop". I never liked Metal or Grunge or the stuff the Emo's all llisten to. As far as the current trends in music, I couldn't tell you much about any of them.

As a child I, most of the time, listened to classical or jazz.

I paused as I tried to think of what I listen to now. Nothing leaps to mind. I do not mean I listen to nothing, but no genre leaps up and slaps me in the face with a tiny sturgeon.
