better stay out of Las Vegas then. that place is not safe from them, ANYWHERE. i promise you, even though you can't see them, they are in every hotel and restaurant - bathroom, bar - house, car, yard and casino.... eew. they are nasty!


That goes for any big city. As long as I can't see them I'm ok. Kinda like cats...... ;)

OK...so, everyone saw that Star Trek movie, "Wrath of Khan", right?....

Well, one brother & his wife are very active in The Society for Creative Anachronism (http://sca.org/), and each summer, they spend 2 weeks in Pennsylvania at something called The Pennsic Wars. Anyway, they are camping/sleeping in pavilions, not using electricity, wearing medieval/renaissance era clothing, etc. One night, my sister-in-law woke up with a pain in her ear...only to discover a HUGE bug lodged in her ear canal!!! :eek:

After the crisis was over, I said, hey, isn't this why people used to wear those sleeping caps to bed? And I asked her why she hadn't. She was not too happy with me.... :D

ha ha funny you. but :eek: for her experience.

Oh, you poor dear. I'm so sorry you're caught up in this. Here's my thoughts:

1. Boss #1 (the friend whose email you read) is not the friend you thought he was. Even so, I would not confront him over this, not directly. He is likely to get defensive and accuse you of reading private correspondence, even though he gave you the ability to do so.

2. I would start looking for a new job. In fact, after 2 years of 2 day work weeks, I'm surprised you haven't done so already. You are in a very shaky situation, plus you need additional work/income. Use your days off to go job hunting.

3. I would write a letter to both partners. In it, you should not mention anything about the email you read, or about their personal squabble with each other. You should be very cool and professional. You should point out that you have noticed that things are sliding downhill, and you are concerned. You should mention that, working only 2-3 days a week, you do not have time to address the things (enumerate them) that need to be done to make things run on rails again. You should close by suggesting a meeting between you and both partners to discuss the issues in your letter and work out solutions.

With luck, the partners will talk to you based on (3), and you'll get back on full time status. If not, use the results of (2) to give yourself an escape route.

Hugs and sympathy, Elora. A work environment filled with tension and conflict is no fun at all.

Thats something I'm glad about here...we don't really have many really sceery critters. sure, they creep me out a bit, but they're not really dangerous. Very few poisonous biting thingies here.
Not sure I could cope with having to check my shoes everytime I put them on etc, cause knowing my luck, I would forget just once and that'd be the time something gets me lol.

things are always funny after the fact....... if you survived. spiders are icko. after reading James and the Giant Peach i sort of do try to not kill them.... but i run and scream and make someone else not kill them. LOL

i think i may go pick up a black rescue kitten tomorrow. it was feral, sickly, and antisocial. unadoptable. there is talk of euthanizing it.... :(

Had to look at the film clips in the Q+A bit cause the actual episodes can't be watch from teh UK apparantly, but omg. Seriously!

Please tell me this isn't what people think we sound like? Jeez! And there is actually a guy on there saying its good...I have never heard anyone talk like that though.

Nice to see Sam back on TV but the accent is bad and I miss her short blonde hair. The series has promise and I hope it gets better. The first half seemed kind of slow.
