From: Elora Lunasea ... Ok, sorry for using this place to complain. I don't ususally do this but I was so upset when I saw that. Now I'm all worried he wants to get rid of me, and believe me, this is NOT the right time of my life to have to worry about losing my job (not that it ever is but, right now, particularly). After 20 years with these people, to have read that, no less from someone who is supposedly a friend, was very harsh and I'm just not sure how to even respond or act right now. Feel free to give input.
I'm glad you came to us. For what it's worth, I'm sending you lots of sympathy and support. Also for what it's worth here's my advise - feel free to refute or ignore. It's not about you. It's about your two bosses who can't get along and can't have a successful business. What was said about you in the email wasn't based on anything but the desire to fight with the other person. You need to find a new job. But don't let them know anything until you have the new job. Then leave and forget about it. If you try to defend yourself she will try to justify herself. There is probably no way you can make this right, make them admit how badly they've treated you, or get any satisfaction from them so just leave. Once you're gone they'll soon realize what they've lost but they might never admit it to themselves or to you. Maybe you can be good with your friend again but it sounds like as long as you're there you're just scenery in their battle ground.

I used to be sorta okay with roaches. As okay as you could be, I s'pose. Then I had an hour long ride in a bus once that was infested with the things. Never quite been able to really handle them since.
While many won't now go to Greenie's Home because of the entry fee, I won't because of the roaches they put in. Never, ever gonna go back now. What a nightmare!

From: Claire Silverspar Fleas however are another matter. My cat seems to have picked up a case of the itchies, so I'm gonna deflea her tomorrow...
One word: "Advantage". Even when we had outdoor cats after one application we never saw another flea.

Bugs- Roaches prove there is no god or if there is he/she/it has a rotten sense of humor. My husband nearly crashed a semi once cause a mouse decided to use the steering wheel as as an exercise device

Oh Elora, so sorry for your work problems. I heartily second what Kaimi said. First it's not about you, and second, find a new job! You will probably be so pleasantly surprised by what others will be willing to pay for a loyal, stable employee with your skills. Believe me, finding applicants that haven't switched jobs every two years is like striking gold! Hi to all the rest of the Threadies!! We've been having internet problems here at work, so I have no idea if my reply will even post, many of them do not... But I've been faithfully lurking. Edit: yay! I posted and it didn't take five tries!

From: Elora Lunasea I need to vent. Not about anything here, about my job. ... Feel free to give input. Oh, you poor dear. I'm so sorry you're caught up in this. Here's my thoughts: 1. Boss #1 (the friend whose email you read) is not the friend you thought he was. Even so, I would not confront him over this, not directly. He is likely to get defensive and accuse you of reading private correspondence, even though he gave you the ability to do so. 2. I would start looking for a new job. In fact, after 2 years of 2 day work weeks, I'm surprised you haven't done so already. You are in a very shaky situation, plus you need additional work/income. Use your days off to go job hunting. 3. I would write a letter to both partners. In it, you should not mention anything about the email you read, or about their personal squabble with each other. You should be very cool and professional. You should point out that you have noticed that things are sliding downhill, and you are concerned. You should mention that, working only 2-3 days a week, you do not have time to address the things (enumerate them) that need to be done to make things run on rails again. You should close by suggesting a meeting between you and both partners to discuss the issues in your letter and work out solutions. With luck, the partners will talk to you based on (3), and you'll get back on full time status. If not, use the results of (2) to give yourself an escape route. Hugs and sympathy, Elora. A work environment filled with tension and conflict is no fun at all. [EDIT. Darn, I see I'm late to the table again. Just take it as read that I agree with Allie and the others. ]

Brenda - YOU always come up with the best solutions Thanks to everyone who gave me input. I'm feeling a lot better now. Most especially thanks to Maureen for chatting with me and really gave me some focus. /me goes to bake the donuts, drinks lots of water, gets coffee pot, assumes the postion, pulls down panties and patiently waits until the mood strikes....

Kaimi, I think that stuff is only sold in the US, we get stuck using frontline, which the cat hates so much she froths at the mouth before we even bring it near her lol. I don't even know where she picked them up from...she's a house cat! Never been outside...ever. Anyway, we'll sort it out soon.
Oh, and Elora, I think I like Brenda's solution to the work problem LOL. Brenda rocks (remind me not to make her mad)

From: Nika Talaj Thank you, I think!
*grins* but ohhh, if I ran into both you and Chris together! OUCH!
He he. I'd probably shoot at you if it were a McCain Avatar as well, it's just that you'd be more likely to shoot back. Or even shoot first. In the Obama, you'd probably just try to negotiate. @Claire: get angry at you? I don't think that is possible.

I remember how great I thought Frontline was when it first came out. Way better than washing them in flea shampoo all the time. But not as good as Advantage. One of our cats got outside for a few minutes the other night and we found her first ever flea a day or two later. (She's 6years old. ) So Advantage was kind of on my mind. Any way once you get your in door cat flea free she should stay that way until she gets out or the next one hops in as you open the door. Plus in the winter I think it gets too cold for fleas where you are, right?
