/me waves.
Mornin' everyone. Know where I went last night? Svarga. I've been there several times, but it's been months. I forgot how incredible that build really is. It rocks! I think I'll go through my old landmarks and start visiting old places I haven't been to in forever just to see what's changed.
Or, I can actually try to do something productive.
Nah. I'm going to go play.

We were talking about stupid confessions in another thread, but I'm too lazy to go find it... Last night I logged in as an alt. I remembered that there was a little chore I'd been meaning to do for a long time. I have a little skybox, and it used to have a security system in it...until one night I moved the place way up to a new altitude, and somehow forgot to include the gadget in my selection. I couldn't figure out where it had gone. Then it finally occurred to me that it might still be at the old altitude. Oh well, I said, I'll get around to having a look for it Real Soon Now. And I kept forgetting about it. So last night, I remembered. I teleported my alt down to the old location...and forgot to fly first, so there I was in free fall. I caught myself after a couple of hundred meters and started flying up to where the missing security system might, or might not, be... ...And boom! I'm ejected. Yes, it was there all right. And I hadn't put myself on its Allowed list. Did YOU ever have one of those days when even the simplest task seems way beyond your comprehension?

I don't know how I missed it before, but maybe it's new. It's silly, but I like feeding the birds. Actually, it's a pretty clever trick. Regardless, feeding them is fun and sort of relaxing.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Hi, and thanks! I'll look for your store today. Gifties??? Oh yes, I absolutely did get gifties at each step/clue along the way. It was just that I was AWFUL at solving the riddles/clues, and that's why I was happy Soji gave me some clues of his own. Gifts at EACH step/clue????? I have only solved the first clue, but that critter only gave me another clue. I don't think he gave me a gift also. Trout's store is neat - it has cool toys.

Revised to remind me how to behave in the SL Forums. From: after Nika Talaj Tread very carefully. Participate only in Residents Answers, and try to keep strictly factual. Don't try to figure out what triggers the storms of negativity the place generates ... popular people are worshipped, others get simply stomped on. Avoid contradicting anyone, and be very careful not to appear to think you know more than the regulars about anything. Pep (Meh! I don't walk on eggs well) .

Trout's store is neat - it has cool toys. Thanks, Littleme. It's not much - I'm working really hard on building it up and improving my building skills. I think the gifts start at the next clue. I don't remember exactly which one, but they are great gifts!

From: Amaranthim Talon ...lappy needs CPR... when i plugged it back into the wall it was no longer dim.. so it may be a battery problem... That would have been my first guess actually. Backlights/inverters don't usually wear out, they just go (black screen). Dim usually means a major problem in voltage regulation. That can affect the cpu/harddrive/etc and cause flu like symptoms. Will it run off AC with the battery removed? If so, I would do that to test, a battery in bad enough shape can even drag down the AC adapter. Do you usually run on battery power? How old is it? Do you usually charge it up full, and then run it to zero? Or do you run it some charge it some run it some charge it some? Oddly, running it only a little and charging it a little is worse and will cause what's called "memory effect". If you don't want the full geek explaination, it's "bad". A lap batt can still be expensive, but at least you can change it yourself. It'll cost less than a trip to a repair shop to try it and see. If you do have to seek professional help, CompUSA is prolly the worst. I've never had good luck with them, nor heard anything but complaints from others. I'd gamble my money on Geek Squad, they seem to at least be a 50/50 shot. Good luck.

Trout's store is neat - it has cool toys. If you solved one, then you already should have gifts. Solved as in found the treasure chest involved with the running stairs? That one includes a steel seahorse and a skeleton key. Solved as in found where to say "nothing"? Well, that one just gives you a clue. I started there so I do/did not think of that as solving first clue.

Is that one where the first clue has you hunting in the room of Eyes and there are only 4 or 5 clues in total to solve? If so, I have been back there three or four times now and still haven't gotten past that room.
