What the hell. There are so many negative threads on here at the moment.

Don't you gloomy people realise that negativity BREEDS more discontent, misery and gloom?

Yes things are frustrating atm but ... wow ... enough whining!

You need to see the larger picture ...

See ...

Breathing is required for life, right. Now if you toggle Voice on continuously, then your breathing will be transmitted over VOIP.

Hence, breathing is going to be the final downfall of SL.

Hey, I read "The Secret" I'm totally down with you Cherry. The power of attraction is the most powerful force in the Universe--it works every time (whether we want it to or not, it doesn't care about 'good' or 'bad', it brings to us what we think and feel)

But venting is good for your emotional well being. Holding in negative thoughts is emtional bagage that can spiral down into depression.

Think of the forums as the Frued of SL *grins*

I guess I should refine this. It was set off by the 'Is This The End Of SL' type thread titles.

No it's not. Even if it was, there would be something else. And even if we all went there ...

WE'D STILL MOAN!!

/me moans about having to get back on with RL work :)

If that is true everyone in this office likes Red Admiral butterflies a lot.

I've never worked somewhere which could run an in-house butterfly exhibit before.

Compliments to The Beatles

Let me tell you how it will be;
There's one for you, nineteen for me.
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don't take it all.
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

(if you drive a car, car) - I’ll tax the street;
(if you try to sit, sit) - I’ll tax your seat;
(if you get too cold, cold) - I’ll tax the heat;
(if you take a walk, walk) - I'll tax your feet.

Taxman!

'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Don't ask me what I want it for, (ah-ah, mister Wilson)
If you don't want to pay some more. (ah-ah, mister heath)
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

And you're working for no one but me.

Taxman!

Sl's working ok for me at the moment so ive got no complaints:)

Anyway, what would a virtual life be like without all the drama we experience?

Probably not as interesting.

Although i would really really really like everything to be fixed, sometimes you just have to sit back and admire the beauty of the imperfections that exist in life, whether its your first life or your second life.

Lets hope SL will continue to prosper and expand and that we will all still here in a years time.

I find reading the press blurbs about SL on the front of the SL website very encouraging and informative. Very encouraging about the future of 3D web.

Dude....lol.....

WHAT WE THINK AND FEEL IS BASED ON OUR HUMAN EMOTIONAL VALUE SYSTEM AND CONCEPTS OF GOOD AND EVIL. It is our emotions that come first and dictate what we may or may not receive. People who are more positive tend to get the things that they want simply because they have a better outlook on life and this is where motivation comes from. This has nothing to do with some inane ancient universal "secret." LOL

But go ahead and believe in your "blame the victim" mentality that plagues "The Secret."

LOL

"The Secret" should read: How to get what you want in life and not feel guilty about it!

Wow. You are lost.

I don't expect everyone to grasp the Secret, nor do I force them to.

Are you aware that your thoughts and feelings influence the actual fabric of the Universe? This is a proven fact...quantum physicists all agree on this. Thoughts aren't things that float helplessly around in your head...they actually influence and manipulate existence itself.

Try watching the movie: What the Bleep Do We Know--perhaps you'll see differently.

It's sad that you felt it necessary to CAPS LOCK YELL your destruction of my spiritual belief. Way to go. I think YOU need The Secret more than anybody. The Secret changed my life, and I have many "hard to believe" examples of how I have fashioned my own existence--not just in the "get up and take action" sense...but something more spiritual and magnificent...I don't expect a negative naysayer like you to understand...although, I hope someday you do. It's always hard to get an Atheist to understand things they can not touch.

Good and Evil is a concept we humans created--in nature, there is no such thing.

The beauty of The Secret is that it is both spiritual, AND scientific--which to my belief, is the truest way to look at the Universe. Do not mistake 'spiritual' for 'religious'...they are very different.

ps. Your photography and post-manipulation is very nice...cool stuff.

I don't think this really qualifies as a proper Friday thread, if you know what I mean. Could someone please start one of the more typical ones? Points will be awarded for originality so no recycling "SL Manners Nanny" and so on. Thank you.

Hippy bullshit.

Then again, The Secret has made the author a millionaire so maybe there's something to it. Or maybe it's just gullible fools who have made her a millionaire.

Wow, you guys. Would you DARE go on a forum and post that Christianity is "hippie bullshit?"

Incredible. It's NOT hippie bullshit...it's just as scientific as it is spiritual. If you knew that, or were capable of understanding that...you wouldn't have posted what you did.

Incredible. This is The Secret in action...lol.

Oh I don't know. As bellicose as we can get debating the merits of the Secret is right up our alley. I've been involved in several RL doozies on the topic. It seems to create strong feelings on either side. Personally I found it to be a lot of metaphysical nonsense. I understand the theory, I just don't buy it.
