It's been that way for a while. and with 14,000 sq m, I put my house next to the unused sim and somewhat close to the corner area. Everything else is spreaded out, so I don't have to worry abut looking at ads  Another way to avoid pesky ads is live in Skyboxes or build a platform in the Sky and build your house on it. I think on my region, there are as many Skyboxes as there are places on land. I also own land around an ad area and built a huge box around them and put up my access list of no one , so those ad farms are very valuable right now. sorry can you say that again in english |

Property values are a myth used to justify control, property is worth what someone will pay for it. This is in a constant state of change. Will you next ask that LL stop putting new land on the market? New land lowers the price of property. What if the community calls for price controls? Then that piece of land you paid $10Lm for is now only worth 8, is that a proper use of community pressure? Just as it is wrong for you to come to my home with a gun and take the use of my property, it is wrong for you and 51% or even 99% of the community to vote to give this power to an agent to do it. If you think casinos are gone, check popular places under search. As for the ageplayers, I find them repulsive, but unless LL starts monitoring IMs, do you really think they are gone? Gone from sight, gone underground, but they are still there. If the community calls for it will you agree to let LL monitor your private conversations? After all if you don't age play you have nothing to fear. |

I do want to make clear. I do support community boycotts of businesses who use these ads. I do support shunning and refusal of services to the land owners who cut land for ad farms. The rights of freedom of contract and freedom to associate/not associate are just as important as property rights.
But unless there is proven harm, property values cannot be proven, then it is a matter for the free market, not the "State".
