Frankly, I see the solution to the chat spillover to be pretty simple. Ban and mute them. Ban everyone who comes to 'play' on their land. Text generated by objects owned by muted AVs will not be seen, and chat text doesn't cross banlines. That havin' been done, erect a parcel-divider screen with the landscape of your choice on it. You'll never see nor hear from them again.

There's no good reason to erect anything annoying directed at them, that constitutes griefing and only pulls you down to their level.

These people were approchaed in a benevolent and kind fashion. They chose to ignore repeated requests.

The fact that prims have to be wasted to accomodate them...and there will be no fun out of it...?..roll over?...while devoting prims to a new build to block them out?..heh..not on my watch but tis not my land. but..if they are indeed getting joy out of sticking their pixelated finger up maris pixelated...well..if they enjoy that type of thing they'll figure another way If they're not met with a strong hand ...and mind.

I *said* SEEMS to be within the TOS. That being that they can "Do as they like on their land" While they can indeed do as they please (subject to the whims of the Linden interpreting the TOS and CS at the time), It's also true that any activity at all can be termed 'Broadly Offensive' if you can find a few others to agree and are determined to AR it until random chance results in a Linden agreeing with you reads the report.

This's just the kinda thing that the Lindens begged for when the late great Daniel first encouraged residents to report "Broadly Offensive" behavior. There's no such damned thing, much like common sense n' common courtesy. It ain' 'common'. It doesn't matter whether it's sex chat, sploders, shouts, or bible readings. The fact is that Mari n' presumably the rest of her family are offended by the activities and text spam from next door. The neighbors have refused to tone it down at all and THAT is what is most offensive.

Ban them, mute them, raise a wall. Use a phantom non-phys mega prim if primmage is a concern. Problem solved.

I've been hearing that garbage for almost 20 years now. My RL husband is named Phil, and he is full of himself too.
