To properly compare them, what you should have done was walk onto the Gorean sim alone and announce to the first person you saw that you wanted to be a slave there.

Well...I went to the Slave Auction, got TPed by Bull who talked to me about the sim. I told him I wanted to learn, he said to strip and put the collar on.

Denise offered to give me a tour of Gor.

In both cases I took the route offered by the residents of the sim to learn about the sim. In Bull's case, the person suggesting the route for learning about the sim was the owner.
Was there a better route to learn about the Slave Auction sim? How would I have found it?

Actually, the whole Slave Auction thing would have been fine if it hadn't happened to tap into the RL past for me. After soooooooooo many years, who would have thunk it?

"I want to learn ..." and "I want to tour ..." are two different things. Perhaps starting with the right question may have helped things drastically.

Actually, the statement that resulted in my tour of Gor was "I want to learn".

Again, the real issue with the Slave Auction sim was that it tapped into RL issues that I thought were deeply buried in the sands of the past.

To my eyes, you are giving the appearance of not actually wanting to learn. Nonetheless, I'll try again. If it helps one person, it's worth it.

Had you walked onto the slave auction sim and asked about a receiving tour, things would have gone differently. Had you walked onto the Gorean sim and asked about learning to be a slave, things would have gone differently.
