I loved the older version and the new one will knock your socks off. Takeing SLs many possibilies and useing them to their fullest abilities with least amount of Lag. I am on a Satilite connection and still enjoy that game. great work guys. Shjak Monde

Hamlet, can you explain how this vote thing works? Is it just a voting booth players click on? Is it a piece of code we can use how we see fit, eg, to sell a DarkLife backpack, or is it something else? This is really unclear and is kind of hindering any early planning..
Also, I hope all of these games are in the wiki! See my sig..

I'd like to nominate Moriz Gupte's "Blox". It is a rare SL game that combines deep strategy with physics. More info on game at bloxsl.blogspot.com ...

Pirate, when players pay the voting machine there should be an option to get a game token or other item (s) that enable play. But again, that's Ben Linden department, and I am summoning him here thusly.

Nominating BloxSL.
02-05-2006 10:57
I just had a demo of BloxSL. Great fun! Simple rules... only action strategy casual 2 player game that i know of in SL. Moriz is working on a 4 player version too.

nominations

i would like to nominate Settlers of Second Life by Lex Neva, which is my new favorite SL game. it is modeled after the popular Settlers of Catan; it is a total blast to play, bug-free, and obviously a LOT of work went into the scripting and building! everyone should check it out, it is an excellent game.
also, i would like to nominate Greedy Greedy by Karsten Rutledge, which is an exhilarating game of chance and daring!
ok!
EDIT: oh yes, i forgot. i would also like to nominate Boogie by Hox Hauptmann, a FREE to own word-game in the vein of boggle where the highest score at the end of the day claims the jackpot. i am, apparently, addicted.

The following are my three nominations:
Castle Wars by RacerX Gullwing - I wasn't aware of this game until it was mentioned in this thread so I IMed RacerX and he played a game of it with me for about ten minutes. The game has a low learning curve and I found it to be quite entertaining.
Combat Cards by Doc Boffin - I found out about Combat Cards while searching for combat zones. I was able to play two games of Combat Cards with Doc himself last week and found the game very enjoyable and lag free. Doc was also kind enough to give me a free Combat Cards T-shirt.
DarkLife by Mark Busch, Pirate Cotton and Crash Prefect - I started playing this game on January 28 and am already at level 19. The game is very fun and addicting and I've met some great people there while playing. When I had a problem with a purchase at one of the game shops, Freyja Hathor (I believe she is an admin) was able to correct it very quickly.

I would like to nominate Combat Cards by Doc Boffin and Osprey Therian. It would be really cool to launch the game at the start of the expo and to have enough land to build a fantasy gladiator arena. Here's a screenshot of the latest beta, which can be played at secondlife://Europa/107/169/57/. More information can be found at http://www.tiger-swallowtail.com/CombatCards/I would also like to nominate Dark Life by Mark Busch, Pirate Cotton and Crash Prefect and Settlers of Second Life by Sprite Quartermass and Lex Neva.

Think of the voters as arcade coin slots. Payer Pays Object Object collects data on payment (ammount, user) Object communicates the same info to your game. (format to be decided soon) Object periodically sends data to LL There might be some refund code in there too. I will probably distribute just the script, and maybe make a default object - it probably won't work in a backpack - you need to own the object that is being paid - but you could build a resurection shrine that costs 25L$ to use. Really simple. The game maker will own the object, so it will go straight to your pockets, what you do from there is up to you. The script is No mod. The idea is to get you guys thingking on how to make a sticky game - one that people will pay to play, and want to play again and again - that can be self sustaining. Basically, we would like to see Arcadia become... an arcade! I hope this helps - I will keep an eye on this thread. ben
