You know what I find truely ironic. I said I dont like the way bedazzle is going about getting press. I dont think its necessary and yes it does lower my opinion of that team now.

What I find ironic is these posts that go out of their way to tell me to shut the fuck up and other various insults over an opinion. I am told to get a grip. I find much humor in that folks. You see I'm not saying that kiddie porn is a good thing, I'm not backing up the KKK I am simply stating my opinion about something I saw that I feel was not necessary.

Do you realy think that those reading this will find your remarks called for? I hope not I dont think SL has fallen to that level. I would hope they would find your remarks uncalled for and overly dramatic.

More so its a damn shame that I cant have this opinion without being bashed for it. Reguardless of your insults and belittling of my feelings my opinion remains the same and I have no regretes for posting my opinions.

Sorry if we cannot agree upon everything, sorry if you find it shameful, but what I did not like was in the beginning of this tread how you agree by saying that Bedazzle is going as low to prostitute themselves. I have issues with that cause the people who pose for me are not hookers or prostitute. they are my friends and I will defend them. I think the issue here is that you carried yourself out uncalled for. Why not contact me or Jimmy and say "hey guys, can you guys put that warning sign a little bigger so that you don't offend people?" Then I could have told Jimmy and let him decide. I think it was uncalled for you to run to the forums and start all this drama that has escalated and gotten more attention than we did not see happening, as well as to insult the people who model for us because you feel it's wrong. We are entitle to our opinions as you are to yours. What you are getting now is other peoples attention who disagree with you.

Someone in this thread said that nobody else was objecting to those pictures. (I'd quote it, but I can't find it again among all the garbage here.) Point is, I beg to differ.

I saw the Chinatown build, and was highly impressed. I've heard great things about other Bedazzle builds. So yes, when I saw a link to the Bedazzle site I thought cool, I wanna check this out.

I don't object to pornography at all, and enjoy looking at a beautiful nude woman as much as the next person. But to call this "art", that's just laughable. "Venus de Milo" is art ... this is a cheap pathetic attempt of pixel tittilation.

Personally, yes I do think it degraded the women posing. I give my av the same respect I give myself rl. But hey, it's their av's - they can do what they want. I"m more upset about how it's degraded a beeautiful build. It rocked, plain and simple - why is Bedazzle stooping to this level? I doubt I'll ever check out another Bedazzle build now, and that's truly very sad.

As for the attacks going on in this thread simply because one person is standing by her opinion, geeze, look at yourselves in the mirror, if you can.

from my recollection of the definition of art on these forums, it is art if the women featured are asked for permission and not art if it's done secretly. SL art really has nothing to do with the intellectual or technical rigiour of RL art.

get real claire! go take photos of some daisies and put them on your wall! you too are an artist. if you can contort a ring prim and colour it yellow and pink, you too are an artist. and if you can make four columns and a slab, you are an architect

more importantly, you need to look at this to understand art in SL: SL Art

please everyone take this lesson from torley - in a 10 page thread, people are not reading anything anymore. you need to bold, increase lettersize and change colour, of your entire post. this works. i read torleys entire post.

alternatively you can quote torley's post, and people will read your posts then too.

Well, let's get one thing straight. This is in no way a depiction of these females' natural sexuality. It is an externalized projection of idealized and fantasy-driven sexual form, with all the reality (or less) of airbrushed models in a photoshopped setting; hand 'em guns and wrenches and you could hang 'em up in a garage. I would have to agree that anybody reading anything more into it than that is probably overthinking. I would also say that anybody in RL built like Pamela Anderson would be far less likely to say, "I'd never do that in RL". People generally build bodies like that to exhibit them, an interesting SL/RL parallel.

However, it obviously did take some thought and work. Body textures are not the easiest thing to get right. As a technical example, I think it's a decent illustration of what SL can do insofar as creating idealized female forms and photographing them in coyly semi-adolescent poses. I guess it also gave Chinatown some new purpose. Hmm wonder what would have happened if one of them had stood on a reflective puddle...

Funny thing is...from the past, I think I recognize the style. I could hazard a guess....

...anyway, let me know when the evening wear collection comes out.
