Who are you to decide what they do or don't need to do? The nudes were taken as part of the styleized depiction of Chinatown. If you did a little more research, you would understand the relationship of nude art shots and the authentic, gritty Chinatown motif they were going for in the sim.

Nudity has been a part of fine art from the beginning - both paintings and photography. The human body, even in its simulated form, is a thing of beauty. Certainly, there will always be an argument over what constitutes art v. pornography, but in the end, it is in the eye of the beholder.

Ariel's beautiful work speaks for itself, and it honored the Chinatown project, and the models involved in the shoot. The collective talent of all involved speaks far more volumes than your attempt to malign them does. I am sure Bedazzle thanks you for your unintended publicity - I suppose your cynicism does have some benefit.

I do tons of things that I don't NEED to do. I still don't get your point. We shouldn't do anything unless we need to? It seems to me that it was creative, a bit naughty, shocking perhaps to some, obviously a little thought provoking and unexpected, and very lovely. All the elements of great art!

And besides, there is no such thing as bad press.

P.S; I'm not a prude by any means and I dig a good naked body. I however feel that its hard enough as a woman to be treated as an equal in sl and this didn't help.

Foxy is as involved as Jimmy, and the last time I checked, female. Why are you attributing this all to Jimmy? In fact, several of the women photographed - Mistress, Taeja and Foxy, are incredibly successful and well established. They took part in it willingly because they are proud, not ashamed as you are trying to make them somehow feel. How exactly are they not being treated as equals again in SL? In fact, some of the most succesful players in SL are in fact, female - look at the developer incentives list sometime.

I think the pics look great and go well with the Chinatown theme. I'm just sad that Paris' nipples didn't get the chance to rez in before they took the snap. (Yes I looked THAT closely )

And as it's been stated multiple times, these were pictures of women (or at least female avatars) taken by women and evidently enjoyed by a number of women, myself included. What is wrong with a woman choosing to express her sexuality freely, anyway? Or maybe all women should just repress their sexuality? That smells like repressing women to me.

I post naked pictures of myself all the time. It never gets a rise (sic) out of anyone. Not even Catherine!

WHORES ALL OF YOU!!! Okay, so Bedazzle decided to do some nude shots for their club. They haven't promoted these pictures in any way to my knowledge and therefore I wouldn't say they're using them to "sell". I find it interesting that some people see these avatars or other females in SL to have the "ideal" look. In my experience I've noticed that most female avs in SL are NOT ideal lol, at least that's my opinion. I think it's that they believe they're ideal, that they're becoming something from the pages of a magazine. I mean it's like, large boobs check, no hips check, tiny waist check, flat bum check, okay I'm ready!! I'm not speaking about anyone in particular here so don't take offense. The idea that you can't ever be too thin or too rich has found a home in the virtual world. Apparently using your boobs as an emergency floatation device is alive and well also.

I know for sure that two of these women are indeed women and that they chose to do this. I don't believe in the whole "degrading to women" attitude when the participants are willing and happy to put themselves in the scenario to begin with. As I said before, Bedazzle obviously hasn't used these pictures to promote themselves. It's like finding a folder on your friend's pc with a couple of suggestive pictures and accusing them of being in porn. If anything, this thread has brought attention to pictures that I probably wouldn't have seen. This would actually be a smart way of getting publicity without getting your hands dirty lol.

Hit the link from SL fan sites, hit the link ENTER ( no warning what so ever) and boom naked chick sitting on a car, click on chick (again no warning about nudity) or if there is its so tiny you dont notice it but i double checked.

I am not suprized one bit that there are supporters for this sort of thing. So I disagree that they NEEDED to do this. You think putting me down for that opinion will change my mind? No it wont it only changes my opinion of you too.
