As for Dr Rice, let me help you understand... Rice is/was the only choice. She has more qualifications for her position than anyone else. Rice is a an example that blacks must be twice as smart as whites in order to get to the same position. She is a Ph.D. and has accrued fairly impeccable political credentials during her career, unlike others like Cheney who I believe failed Yale and still got his job ? ( would a black person with his background ? ) Rice has extreme ambition and swung to the right because she seems to believe the American left has failed black people. Personally I have very little respect for that part of her, but at least I can see how and why she is where she is. . To get into a position of such power you have to be at the very least a bitch, driving ambition and the willingness to tread on your opponents = bitch afaic! As for her dumb politics just look where it's leading us. I called Thatcher a bitch too and I meant it. _____________________

I work with someone who spent an afternoon with her a year or so ago. My coworker and Condi belong to the same sorority. Eh, I know, sorority girls
 The coworker is involved somehow in the national leadership of the organization and Condi came to town to talk to the local chapter. I was told she was very warm and personable. Not that it counts for anything. Whatever._____________________

I actually have a great deal of respect for Condi. She's an impressive woman... articulate, accomplished, a concert pianist... Without reading this thread - except for the title and Cristiano's post above - I will add my opinion. It's not fine to call either Hillary OR Condi a bitch, and whoever does so lacks civility.
coco P.S. I looked back a bit in this thread, and it's safe to say this is why I stay out of threads like this. I can't believe the number of people who will call EVERYONE whose political beliefs aren't in line with their own bitches or worse. And believe it! Without even knowing the people! (Not just garnered from my brief perusal of this thread, but from looking in other threads similar.) Both Hillary and Condi are awesomely admirable women, whether you agree with their politics or not, and even whether or not you even hate their viewpoints. How can anyone with such certainty that their political views are correct have any friends? I mean, what do you do, ask everybody their politics first, then decide on friendship depending on the answer? _____________________
