The myth of evolution is clearly a religious belief for those who reject the notion of a creator.

At least the majority of the British know it's a big lie.

Have a nice day :D

I agree. The more Christians I meet the more I have to question that these people actually evolved up from something and this is the "better" version.

When talking about evolution - are we talking about the evolution of form?

Or the evolution of consciousness?

And what about the soul?

Let's get down to it!

I think its been just about proven that we evolved from the Apes. It points to South Africa.

I'm talking about the evolution of one lower animal into a different animal. An example would be a fish changing into a frog over eons. But, the question of conscience evolution sounds interesting. Please continue with that line of thinking if you would like. The question of an eternal soul is quite deep as well. I certainly agree with the concept of an eternal soul.

You are kidding, right? Even evolutionists admit humans didn't come from apes.

We had to have come from somewhere. Humans just didn't 'appear' whats so hard in understanding that?

Myths fill in holes. As you just did. You made an example of how evolution is used as a myth. TY

The world is a big lie.

You don't even exist.

This has been confirmed by everyone who knows anything.

At least all the Loonies understand this. Unlike the rest of you dim bulbs.

Have a crappy day

Actually this is a meta-myth. I.e. a myth about a supposed myth.

Another example would be the story of the dutch boy who put his finger in the dike to stop it from collapsing. The meta-myth is that this is a Dutch myth, while the truth is that it orginated in the US.

This tale originates from the American writer Mary Mapes Dodge and is in fact not a real myth, although many people believe it is. She published this tale in 'Hans Brinker, or the Silver Skates' in 1865. The Little Dutch Boy is a very popular myth in the United States (and other countries), but is not well known in the Netherlands and has probably been imported there by American tourists.

The myth about evolution being a religion was orginated in the US by people who felt that religion was being marginalized and sought discredit rational thought by posing it as myth.

I have no religious beliefs. And you clearly know absolutely nothing about The Theory of Evolution (let alone what the word "Theory" means in this context)

This has been discussed with you on numerous threads. I fully expect that even this one will drag on for endless pages of your severely ingnorant posturing.

It is a common tactic with folks like you, however, to completely ignore facts in front of you and proceed to just repeat ad nauseum the superstitious beliefs you hold so dear until we all just throw up our hands in frustration.

I have no idea why you wish to take the human race on a backwards march to the Dark Ages, but frankly I'm not buying what you're selling.

The Torah says G_D created the world. It dosn't say how.
I have no problem with evolution and the concept of a creator.
If I was G_D, I would create a system that can expand and adapt on it's
own. Rather than having to micro manage every aspect of it.
I find it rather insulting there are people who limit the power of the creator by saying
he would never think up such a system.
