You know, I'm generally of the opinion that my speach is my speach... I'm very anti-PC. I'll be damned if I stop using the word "oriental" because some people find it offensive, for example. I *will*, however, stop using it around a specific group of *people* that find it offensive. I'm not so much of an asshole I can't give a milliseconds thought to choose another word that won't offend people.

Again, thank you for explaining your morality. I have considered your "request" and have decided my choice of words are acceptable. If someone is so politically correct as to take offence to the term sweetie, that is their issue to deal with. I do try not to offend, but I don't allow others to decide which terms I use. If it seems overly offensive, I won't use it at all. "Sweetie" isn't offensive. I haven't told anyone which words are acceptable, though I'm sure several people have used words I feel are offensive in the past.

Government deals with legal issues only. Moral issues are for the individual.

Abortion may well be wrong, but it is not the governemnts job to legislate morality. It is up to the individual to determin thier own ethical choices based on what ever system they choose to follow. I can say that I beleive abortion to be wrong, but I cannot make that choice for someone else.

If you wish to encourage people not to have abortions, to practive absitence, or any other moral an ethical choice that is of course your right. But it is not your right to make the decision for them.

Umm, yeah. It's not all that uncommon for people to have more than one set of DNA in different parts of the body. Also, people depend for their "viability" on a number of symbiotic bacteria. These also do not share our DNA but are an essential part of the life of the body as a whole. Inside cells themselves, mitochondria have their own DNA, and many theorize that mitochondria are a symbiote that was absorbed early on in the history of cellular life.

Every day in our bodies, millions of lifeforms begin and millions die. Arguing for a separate life for an unborn baby on the basis of DNA goes nowhere. It's just reductio ad absurdum. Ultimately it comes back to a moral position.

My moral position is that the total amount of harm should be minimized. As such, I think the focus should always return to the situations which lead to abortions.

Microchimerism is the presence of a small number of cells, genetically distinct from those of the host individual, and an organ. The most common form is fetomaternal microchimerism (or fetal chimerism) whereby cells from a fetus pass through into the mother.
