From: Kiamat Dusk That just makes you Catholic in word not deed. Just like these terrorists in the Middle East are "Muslims". No, I'm not saying you're terrorists. I'm saying that you can claim to be whatever you want-doesn't make it so. I can claim to be homosexual until the cows come home, but if I only have sex with women...well that just makes me a well dressed heterosexual.
Look at Neehai. Same thing. Swears he's gay-clearly a breeder.
-Kiamat Dusk And what does this have to do with Republicans wanting every single Woman in this nation to have children??????

From: Kevn Klein If Republicans are targeting women, they are targeting their own people, as many Republicans are women.
You might say they are targeting non-republican women, but I don't see any laws or bills targeting non-republican women. Well, yes, Kevn they are... Repubniks want all Women to have babies. The more the better. Thats their twisted, stupid motto

From: Surreal Farber I am baffled at why Kiamat seems so obsessed with Neehai's sexual orientation. Personaly, I only care about that if I want to have sex with someone. I'm just exposing Neehai for the breeder he is. He's all high and mighty running around on his gay pride horse when, in fact, he is not gay at all. That and I got bored one night and started teasing him about being straight. It was all fun and games til everyone else decided jump into a private discussion in a public forum. Sheesh. You of all people should be hip to the concept of privacy. -Kiamat Dusk

Thats their twisted, stupid motto That is a pretty large brush you're painting with there, Maggie. That's like me saying all Democrats want women to kill their babies before they're born. And, in case you missed it, at least three Republicans have come out very strongly against the bill that is the topic of this thread. -Kiamat Dusk

From: Kiamat Dusk Oh, nice. I mention the Bible and you specifically mention Christ. No, Christ did not personally speak on homosexuality, but the Bible-the word of God-speaks very clearly on the topic.
Leviticus 18:22 (KJV): "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind it is abomination."
-Kiamat Dusk ??? No catholic should be using Leviticus unless they are not Catholic and are instead Jewish. You should have quoted Romans 1:24-32 and I Corinthians 6:9 instead. THEN we could tell you how Paul was repeating Leviticus there instead of anything Jesus every said. Also certain various older versions of the bible reveal that the anti-homosexuality dogma was largely added/reinforced by the translaters. Enjoy.

From: Siobhan OFlynn How do you know how I adhere to the teachings of my religion? Just because I'm pro choice and believe women should have access to birth control doesn't mean that I'm not adhering to the teachings of Catholicism myself. I've never personally had an abortion nor do my husband and I use birth control. I don't think that gives me the right to tell others what they should do, though. I take my faith seriously and I truly resent your implication that I'm not adhering to the teachings of my religion.
Also, show me a post I've written that advocates leniency toward child molestors. I don't remember making such a statement. Siobhan, Please accept my sincerest apologies. The remarks toward you were meant for Sally Rosebud. It was late...you both have S names...you're both Catholic...both dating Lecktor...you can see how one could be confused. However, your pro-abortion stance, whether you'd have one yourself or not, does go to giving tacit approval of actions both the Church and God find immoral in the extreme. In office, Christians shouldn't base their legislative decisions on their religion-but as private citizens we can speak out against these acts that fly in the face of what we believe in. Also, I note that you ignored the part about Catholic priests performing gay weddings. Seriously, though-I do apologize. -Kiamat Dusk

I don't see any reason for Catholic priests to perform gay weddings. Why would a gay couple go to the Catholic church for a wedding ceremony? The Church's philosophy of marriage includes marital relations that are open to life, every time. I didn't even get married in the Church because my husband was married before (long story, he wasn't even married in a church and he isn't Catholic, but the Catholic Church views his first marriage as one that has to be annulled because his religion recognized his civil ceremony). Since we don't meet the criteria for a Catholic wedding, we had a civil ceremony instead and are working on the Catholic ceremony for sometime in the future. However, I have no problem with gay couples being married in civil or other religious ceremonies. I don't impose my religious beliefs on person's who believe differently than I do. Apology accepted

From: Surreal Farber .....
Perhaps you think people are choosing booze and cigarettes over birth control, but that says more about you than it does about reality. ............... Do you suppose a smoker will forgo a pack of cigarettes to buy a pack of condoms? Will a drinker skip a six-pack? That is the question. The reality is... life is not a utopia. Many people abuse freedom. Many people make bad choices, and we all suffer. The fact so many abortions are performed on women who have already had one is evidence of this abuse of freedom and bad decision making.

From: Elspeth Withnail far-Right thought There's a contradiction if I ever saw one. From: Lo Jacobs Why do Republicans hate women so much? All Republicans don't, any more than all Democrats understand voting both for and against something. It's just that the national party is, unfortunately, dominated by zealots right now. From: Neehai Zapata Well, I think fiscal conservatism is quickly becoming a myth. Only in the mind of George W. Bush, who is not really a Republican anyway. Plus, there's not a lot of room in there, and "fiscal conservatism" is two big words with a whole bunch of syllables. From: Siobhan OFlynn So does another rather famous Catholic, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, of Massachusetts. Yeah, but he also supports not rescuing drowning women, so that's probably not your best example. From: Eboni Khan I received my Republican Census in the mail yesterday. The census asks what opinions are on hot topics. The questions on social issues are... I got that too, Eboni. I laughed and laughed......Bush already ignores the party platform! Like, that whole section on "fiscal conservatism". Remember that? Clinton followed the GOP platform better than Bush does!

It's a good thing feminist women have a choice to abort the fetus, or the poor child would have to grow up in a left-wing household. Might that be sarcasm? hmmm
