After using your tool, I must say that this is up there with Milkshape and Simshow. You did an awesome job. This needs to be posted on Sourceforge. It saves me the time to load either the SL client or poser (umm!)to do quick checks. If you can, expand it to read psd and pspimage files and cr2 files (those darn poser ones!)
And if you get the time, add a spot for attachments like sunglasses, jewlery and stuff made in Blender. (hey, my college class eats my day, and between that and work, I have little time, so any timesaver is loved) |

I would like to chime in with the rest to say "Thanks" for making this program.
Next to previewing your work on the inworld manequin this thing is fabulous! Esp when SL is offline, and you're in the middle of something that you just HAVE to see. I've been praying someone would come up with a program like this for a long long time. Please keep us abreast of any changes you make to it okay? Can't wait to get to your store inworld to see what other goodies you might have ![]() My experience with this program has had a few slight problems, i thought i'd let u know about. That "access violation" thing that makes it crash Support for alpha channels would be fabulous An improved file browsing system Rotating the manequin is a bit touchy, tends to rotate in random directions too readily but no "biggie"...i deal with it... Overall great work and Thanks again! *hugs* Lyric _____________________

Sorry to say
10-14-2006 03:07
Sorry to say, uzipped files to desktop of my Toshiba M4 laptop running latest XP and it crashes on startup. I get a small window that just exits after half a second. No app.
![]() Any ideas? Edit: Looks like a memory access violation... _____________________

That's odd. The obvious first suggestion is to delete everything you have and redownload. For various reasons, sometimes the download files can be corrupted. I doubt it in this case though, since you'd be getting a different error. For this error, it sounds like the same thing I told Kala on the previous page: make sure the entire zip is unpacked, because Windows is misleading about how it handles zip files.
Support for alpha channels would be fabulous Do you have the latest version? I've had alpha in the previewer since the second version I put out earlier this week. _____________________

The last was downloaded two days ago on the first page of these forums, so guess that first link must have been updated to the newest version?
Thanks, i'll redownload the newer on.... _____________________

still nothing
10-14-2006 12:39
Used the link from the first post. Cleared cache. Downloaded and extracted all into a folder slcp. Still get a crash on start up. Can someone post a clean zip of the new version? I'm about to give up.

Great job. Especially nice for a beginner. I am delving into making clothes because I am not finding men's clothes that I like, and the selection of men's clothes does not even begin to rival the selection of women's clothes. *sigh* In RL I am easy to please, and loathe to shop; what is happening to me?
Anyway, I notice when I use the male body in SLCP it distorts the front of the upper body, apparently because of the lack of hmmm, breasts. Will I run into problems when I upload and wear on a male body, if adjustments are made according to the female figure in SLCP? |

quick fix
10-14-2006 13:36
doc, Unzip each of the files individually into the folder and keep them together. You will get a exception if you move the exe away from anything else that was in the zip. You will have to make a shortcut if you want it on the desktop.

Inspired by the "straps" thread, I just wrote this little app to help people designing clothes and skins for SL. Basically, it just previews textures on the default SL avatar. You can move the camera around, choose what gender to preview with, and choose what images to apply. Then, while working, you can easily refresh a texture you are working on by hitting the Refresh button next to it; this will reload the texture to the most recent time you've saved it. It's pretty basic right now but I think it'll be useful, so have at it! http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/10/8/271989/slcp.zip If you find this useful, you can thank me by visiting my store. The latest version is 1.21 mmm for a reason, the files says that it is bad compressed or damaged, tried with Xp system, Winzip and even Winrar... In Winrar this is what it says: ! C:\Documents and Settings\User\Mis documentos\Downloads\slcp.zip: Unexpected end of archive ! C:\Documents and Settings\User\Mis documentos\Downloads\slcp.zip: Unexpected end of archive ! C:\Documents and Settings\User\Mis documentos\Downloads\slcp.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged Any hint would be appreciatted. Thank you in advance ![]() |

unable to create 3D scene
10-15-2006 01:34
I was looking for a simple tool to check my tattoo's offline. This tool seemed to be just that. However, when I run it it opens a black box, then a larger black box and an error message displays saying "Unable to create 3D scene". when I close the error message the program exits. All the files in the slcp.zip were extracted in the same folder and I tried it on an up to date XP SP2. Any hints anyone?
Thanx in advance! |

What kind of videocard do you have? I would think anything capable of running SL can run my app with no problem, but that error would indicate that your videocard won't allow the video-resolution I use. It's possible that your card doesn't allow windowed 3D rendering.
Alb, if the zip is corrupted then download again. DoctorMike, I got nothing. You vaguely indicate that you get a MAV on startup, but you will need to be specific about your crash. What exactly happens? _____________________

ok, again
10-15-2006 20:21
Lets see, I have XP park 2 with vista gui (don't ask) Intel exterme 2 video card with 256k mem and Net 2.o and the most recent build of Python installed. Try installing Microsoft Net 2.0 and then running it. Of course, you might not have enough memory. However, I doubt that.On a different note, John what did you use to make the 3d models? I noticed that they have a b3d extension. What I googled led me to Brilliant Digital (Adware garbage) and blitz 3d.

I wrote this using Blitz3D. The models are the avatar objs from LL converted to b3d using Ultimate Unwrap. I can't imagine either .net or python would make any difference. I have neither. _____________________

thanks again |

what I get
10-16-2006 12:17
DoctorMike, I got nothing. You vaguely indicate that you get a MAV on startup, but you will need to be specific about your crash. What exactly happens? Basically, I get a small black box, which then vanishes and the task disappears off the task bar. That's it. Edit: just downloaded it onto my desktop at work and it opens. Error occurs on my toshiba M4 laptop but SL works fine on that. Nvidia 6600 graphics card in that I think _____________________

Double check the graphics card. Nvidia 6600 should work great, but laptops often have some underpowered mobile graphics card. It can handle the polygons no problem, but the 800x600 rendering window is not supported. If it is a 6600, you probably need to update the drivers.
