Edit: Works on Laptop running vista. It must be an outdated graphics card.

Was just peeking in this thread for no real reason, wanted to make sure the last couple of posters had seen this quote from the previous page. So whatever your problem is it's clearly not Vista. Obviously I can't tell what exactly the issue is since all you've said is "I have vista and slcp doesn't work" but my guess would either be that your graphics card isn't compatible or user error in running the program (ie. you did it wrong.) 9 times out of 10 the problem is one of those two things.

Ok I have almost gotten this program to work. It does not just shut down every time now. BUT all the HEAD,LOWER,UPPER jpg files are 2 color grey scale. Which means whenever I try to put them in gimp to use as a template for the clothing that I want to make none of the colors I want to use will show up. Just two grey. Is this supposed to be this way?

You don't really want to paint over those images. You can copy/paste them into a new image, but really what you want is Chip's far superior template images. Those are located in the SL downloads I think.

ADDITION: hm actually I just noticed that on the redesigned website the templates are nearly impossible to find. I've mentioned to LL that they need to adjust the website to make the templates easier to find, in the meantime the old site page for them is here:

Johan.
I figured out how to us the templates. Both Amanda's and Chip's. So now SCLP works the only complaint that I have it that the colors displayed in slcp seem to be somewhat washed out.

Then you are double-clicking the wrong icon. The application is "slcp" with no other letters in the name. Every other icon is a file used by the program, or the source code for a programmer who wants to modify the program.

yes
no?

Probably no, but linux is not out of the question. I mean, Mac was originally more out of the question than Linux is now, and I eventually ported SLCP to Mac.

It depends on your OP SYS. I use Linux so I just unzip the files to a folder and click the slcp.exe thats how it works for Ubuntu.
