You have given no ground, none with your no warning alarm mode security orb. I have given up flying! Why because it is impossible to complete a flight. Part of the problem is with the nature of Second Life and the problem of crossing boundaries with vehicles and part of it is people that use no warning alarm mode security orbs. Even without security orbs the sky has become a "junkyard" of everything possible and it is sometimes very hard to avoid this crud.

What scripts? I bought a Viper from the Jet Girl and it includes no flight aids.

You have given up NOTHING and yet you want more. Perhaps you want to control the airspace over your neighbor’s property to keep people out of camera range next. Perhaps you already do by not making foreign land safe. Very hard to catch residents doing this with PvP disabled.

I have sold the last of my mainland property! Yeah good bye griefers, children and okama!

FOR THE LAST TIME- I HAD a warning but I took it off when people (and I use that term lightly) like you ignored me giving any ground, refused to give any yourself, and demanded I give room.

Even if it hit others land I have stated over and over I use eject, and I can't eject you outside my boundaries.

Learn to goddamn read!

My skybox is back at 300 meters now, just above the clouds. If any flyers have actual complaints or problems passing, blame ranma and those like 'it.'

He means SL avatar normally moves faster than 3 m/sec even when you fly without any vehicle or item to augment your speed. Flying with any plane will move you faster than that.

At 3 m/sec it takes 85 seconds (nearly 1:30 min) to cross a single, 256 m wide sim. Just to give you the idea how slow it is.

Going faster means running into ban lines and security scripts. Lets do the math most likey his scan is at 6 seconds. Going at 3 meters a second means 18 meters. The smallest area my security orb offered is 30 meters which means his post is nonsense. Of course he could of changed the range though for some reason forgotten 30 meters is the smallest suggested range. I suppose you can make the settings 96 meters san range at 1 second which I figure many a lot are set at. The higher speed than 6 seconds too was not recomended and again forget why.
The 3 meters a second was my bad :) I figured out my real life aircrafts cruising speed to 176 meters a second and it is well SLOW. Ah well nobody is perfect :)

Yea so.

Me and buddy are sitting in a club. Then two guys come in and start being dumb and saying stupid stuff. They get ejected. Then they come back in and start all over again..i thought it was kinda funny and was laughing. So then I get banned along with my buddy for thinking that these guys were funny. I didnt see the part in the contract where luaghing was a bannable offense.

Ah Jonas, just when did I ever cross the border and enter your little spot of crabgrass? Also I have given up flying. True I do a bit of it in the private sims but it is safe there. My last flight was an attempt to cross the middle landmass to reach the Poole Stage. I never had a chance, was traveling full speed at 200 meters or so AGL avoiding all seen skyboxes. I was hit by at least 3 different push attacks which crashed my server 3 times.
It is so very strange, I agree with your proposal to extend band lines up to the build limit. I have no desire to enter someones land or airspace below the build line and have stated so in many postings yet you don't seem to understand this and attack me. Oh that remines me to do something :)
About the other you say eject, how do we know if you are telling the truth? Are you telling a Clinton or new speech truth?

Just viewed it and what an angry person. Gee a simple math mistake! I am use to flying in real life using the english system since that is the standard for powered flight where I have my license. Living in America has me thinking in the other system.
Never said I wanted to get rid of security orbs. It would be nice if they were not needed due to proper land control devices. In this way there would be a uniform approach to it all. Oh I also attract griefers in SL like a picnic attracts ants. Suppose I attract security orbs in the same manner! My last flight was really bad........
Second Life for me is the right to fly hassle free somewhere. I dont have the money to buy 50 sims for a nice flying range! Real life flying is a lot cheaper and more fun too!

You were laughing along with the griefers so the owner of the club probably assumend that you were friends of theirs, and banned you all.

Even with you not being friends of theirs, the owner probably figured that they didn't need patrons who thought that griefing in thir club by lusers was funny. If that'd happend around me and I'd been in charge, I'd have done the same thing.

Keep in mind that most SL land is owned and supported at fairly substantial cost by *individuals*. (Something that some people seem to have trouble comprehending.) As such, you have no real right to expect to be allowed in *any* club, or on any parcel of land.

Truthfully, I suspect that your complaints here may well have gotten you banned in advance from some places already.

Agree with you Jack, would of done the same thing myself and hit freeze, eject and ban if was club managament. You could always IM management and ask for ban to be lifted. That you made a stupid newbie mistake or something. It might do some good but do not expect it.

Please look at my messages again. Where in the frack does it want access to your skybox that is located at 300 meters. I suppose that is system altitude and would of placed it about 50 meters above my flight path. Assuming your ban is at 96 meters, I hate geometry :( Well it is less than 96 meters ah 4/5 of it? Lets say 80 meters of danger to travel through. No 80 meters is about a third of a sim. I do not think he owns that much of a sim.
Ah so sorry you are the angry one. I am just trying to discover a method of avoiding skyboxes, security orbs on alarm mode. I am trying to discover a flyer friendly place, away from your 300 meter nest :) A place in second life that is not a field of sodai gomi! I am not your enemy Jonas.

Assuming that you haven't changed the settings, of 96m radius, that means between 200m and 400m you are griefing every innocent person on a 100m radius - which, I hasten to add, extends far beyond your parcel (if it's the place I am thinking of).

Be grateful I can't get in game right now, otherwise I'd be over to report it as is the right thing to do in these situations.

You *feel* you have the right to stop people flying across your land. You have no right to do anything outside of your parcel boundaries.

I can, of course, just sit on a prim outside your boundary and use the cam to zoom in and see what you're doing, and there is nothing you can do about it.

You do realise, of course, that your overreaction is inviting every griefer reading these forums to come and annoy you because they know they'll get a reaction.

He _can't_ do anything outside of parcel boundaries, since that's the only area where llEjectFromLand() etc work.

Point taken. Jonas subscribes to option 1 on the poll and cannot eject anyone outside of his parcel boundaries even if he wanted to.

Though i still fail to see why you don't put up the redwall to keep people out in the first place instead of having them fly in and get TP'ed home, thereby wasting their time.

I'm curious, could you explain this to me?

The griefers can always set the attact to push and set the foreign land to not safe. Then the griefer sets it to max power and blam! Not sure how many times have been attacked liked this.

Yes I hate people like this. They dont want people on their land but want to go all over and get upset when they get ban in return. Suppose it is how children have been taught. They think only of themselves. It must be fate..................

I fly every damned day and I've not had anything like the trouble you keep on moaning about.

Heck, I'm starting to think that you don't have that trouble at all and you're just wildly exaggerating in an attempt to get security scripts banned.

I cannot comment about your experiences, but I have had to give up *sailing* except in specific places on the mainland, simply because I got sick of running into security scripts and ending up in the middle of nowhere with no boat.

Skybox. 300 meters. Whitelist ban doesn't cover that area.

So? Nothing in SL is ever guaranteed or to never change. You just adapt, deal with it, and come up with something else to sell.

I think SL would be better without these griefer tools called "security orbs" anyway. Why LL can't understand they work in the same way as push weapons - in fact even worse, because at least with a push gun you have to select a target, the orbs are fully automatic and indiscriminate - and treat them as griefing tools is beyond me.

Lewis

Security orbs can be set to push certain avtars out of your land so they are not indiscriminate. If you did observe this it is because the owner had it set that way,not because that is the way it works. What security system was this that has you thinking that way ?

My Security orb is a Pyskes which has the option to attack people outside of your land. It clearly states this is against the TOS and may result in AR's and getting banned. It states this in the documentation and also on the switch itself and in the setup. It is possible with this setup to own a 16sqm lot and attack all that come with 96 meters or almost 1/2 a sim. Dont think it would last long though before it and the owner gets removed by the Lindens :) Jonas is correct and eject and TP home only works on your land but the push function works just fine.

Not much of issue then, plus llPush() is "universal" way of griefing people rather than something related strictly to land. If land owner sticks only to provided tools rather than break TOS, then can't do anything to anyone outside their property ^^
