Why dont you tell me about all of the "good" things in Second life? You are mistaken and you just dont want people that disagree with you to be silenced? The gentle readers of the forums have the chance to tell me about their favorite friendly places in second life. I can not seem to find them on my own. A lot of the places I use to have fun at are empty. I went to a club and there were 4 or 5 female strippers and no customers. Ah women do not intrest me! The other places I use to visit were either gone or empty. Where are all of the avatars? What are they doing? The main map is acting strangly lately. Have you tried finding, perchance, new clubs to go to? Go where people might be fucking, and instead you'll find people hanging out. Sex typically happens where it's not supposed to. Celestia Sex Club has a firepit out front and I stop by there and talk to friends regularly, just sitting around a campfire. The sex beds are rarely used compared to chatting 'round the fire. If you want to find people, find out what other people are interested in and go there. The Angry Ant usually has a nice crowd too. _____________________

About being a troll, why does being unhappy with Second Life make me a troll? I have noticed that residents like name calling. Why don’t you tell me about all of the wonderful places in Second Life? If I am negative, how about a positive response to balance it out? It doesn't make you a troll, but it does make you miserable and can lead to depression, which makes me wonder if you are so unhappy, why do you continue to participate in Second Life? _____________________

I've stopped wondering why people give me too much information about themselves in online places like this. And why some of them expect the same from me.

Maybe not, but you are constantly calling people selfish, arrogant, condemning all content creators and their products as useless, boring, samey, unimaginative etc like a broken record. . Well, I have stopped using that term, right? Oh some of the content providers are good. I like the person who runs "xcite". Talk about a positive person! I forget the names of the others. My thing in life is working with numbers and am helpless as an artist. My instructor in high school labeled me a "house painter" Why should anyone lift a finger to bother to convince you of anything? You've obviously made your mind up, and slagged down most people's efforts in the process, blaming them for your lack of enthusiasm, imagination, creativity and your evident lack of understanding of even the basic fundamentals of Second Life - like blaming hair creators for the fact the hair doesnt behave like hair. Thats because until they introduce flexiprims, that's all they can be! . That is hard on me! What do you say to the following? I used to love flying my Tarn. My last flights all ended the same way. Oh flying straight and level at about 300 meters AGL when all of a sudden I am getting pushed hard and straight into the ground! Once into the negitive numbers it is impossible to stop it and the only way out is to log off. Lucky my Tarn is no transfer since they dont always come back to me. It does not matter if it is because of problems flying between Sims or Security Scripts, This ruins my flight and kills any enthusiasm and imagination that I had. My my lasting thoughts are sad ones and not happy ones Wonder if the Tarns are still in the ground? The Lindens are not doing anything to help with flight! They are not doing anything about boating! What about that griefer or griefers that have ruined every weekend this month? This is the funny part! What do most of the residents want in the forums? Privacy! And no doubt when they do introduce flexiprims you'll be among the first bitching about flexiprim hair. Nope! I will be one of the first customers! Lindens are not worth anythingh outside of the game so what the heck! If anyone has a good natural pony tail I am interested, ah I like my hair pushed back behind my ears ![]() |

The original question was "what have you stopped doing in Second Life?" I'd like to get back to that. I think my reasons will be self-evident.
I haven't stopped going to dance clubs totally, but I've cut back drastically. If you've seen a dozen 'sexy avie' contests you've seen them all, and while the idea is just to let your hair down and have fun I don't have much patience with clubs that encourage endless "^^^HOWLZ^^^" chat spam. It destroys the interaction with other attendees. That's not the main thing I've changed, though. What I've tried to studiously avoid has been drama. Drama being defined as interpersonal conflict fed by rumors, hurt feelings and presumptions of guilt. I just won't engage. Typically I find that drama is a direct product of have more than 2 people involved in a situation. Triangulation, as it were. "X hurts Y's feelings and runs to tell Z, who gets upset too and jumps all over X". Spare me, k? You will find yourself getting dumped from my friends' list and muted so fast your head will spin. I keep thinking I'll quit shopping, but that never seems to happen. Last night I spent a couple hours tinkering with TP scripts for my house and ended up just throwing my hands up (never could get the x axis rotation right). I bought a nice pair of TP objects that do the job just great, for $175L each. Saved me a ton of grief and all it took was 3 minutes browsing in "Find" ![]() _____________________

Lmao, send me a notecard with the requests, I will see what I can do... ![]() Cool. Mostly they're swinger and group poses. Because of my wife's profile, people think I have some vast inventory of such things and ask me all the time, and I don't have them lol. _____________________

It doesn't make you a troll, but it does make you miserable and can lead to depression, which makes me wonder if you are so unhappy, why do you continue to participate in Second Life? Why, I made the mistake of paying my membership in advance. It was during a happy time in Second Life. It was before one of my friends becoming dead in real life and another one hurt real bad in rl. This sort of broke up my group of friends. Our inter relations changed and I can not explain why. Think most of us went our seperate ways. Tell me about a cool place to hang out? A place with cool music, acceptable lag and friendly residents? |

Anyways. fun places to go with nice people... hmm well I am not sure i have not explored SL in months... but SL is full of nice people, and if you haven't found a handful of them, you are doing something wrong... _____________________

Being a negative douche isn't exactly a great way to survive your friends, be positive m8. I like the Angry Ant, though the lag can get bad because a lot of other people also like the Angry Ant. My friend Kushiel is opening a new themed nightclub on some nice, low lag land called Heaven & Hell that opens on Friday night/Saturday morning. Celestia is a nice place to hang out with good people. I rarely travel anywhere and be bored If you spent the energy in the "find" system that you spend on being negative here, you'd find plenty of reasons to be positive. _____________________

1) [6) I have stopped exploring. There is so much land that is "private" and it is almost always impossible to know where you can visit and where you are not welcome. To avoid stress, I have become much more careful about entering an unknown area. In short I usually do not visit unknown Sims. I do not want to get ejected and get the message more or less like "hey you no good a******, you violated my privacy my stepping foot on my land!” There is usually not even a sign! And IMing before entering each plot is too much of a chore. Thus no exploring. I love to explore but was finding it dangerous also. Then I started visiting gardens in SL. They are many beautifuly gardens and so far I have not found any that did not welcome visitors. Parks are also nice places to visit. |

I used to build things for fun. When they made the snap to grid require moving the cursor to the ruler, perpendicular to the direction you want to move the object, every single time your want to use the snap function, instead of having a convenient snap mode like there used to be, that took the fun out of building and pretty much ended my building altogether. What have you stopped doing in SL that you used to do? Everything, RL is very busy right now. I don't have much down time, and I would rather not spend it working in SL. More so I would rather not pay for the privilage of working in sl._____________________

Sorry to hear about that, but I'd think that would make you enjoy SL more, not be a negative douche. Being a negative douche isn't exactly a great way to survive your friends, be positive m8. . It is not that way! They have just not been online as the same time as me! A lot has to do with my move from Sagamihara, Japan to my life in Okaholma. it puts my logging in 13 to 14 hours behind my old times. Oh! I get it now! Sorry am a bit slow at times and a lot of things just go right over my head and I miss the whole point! I remember the "Angry Ant ". The other place sounds very nice too. I will try to drop by these tonight ![]() I never have a lot of luck with the "find" command. Either I get way too many or none. |

logging in for the most part Same here... hopefully this is temporary and I'll get bit by the bug again, but for the most part, it's just been hard to build and frustrating and not as fun I guess. I think I've had a creative block too. . _____________________
