I used to build things for fun. When they made the snap to grid require moving the cursor to the ruler, perpendicular to the direction you want to move the object, every single time your want to use the snap function, instead of having a convenient snap mode like there used to be, that took the fun out of building and pretty much ended my building altogether.
What have you stopped doing in SL that you used to do?

I've slowed down working on things that require too much coding effort. It's begun to feel like work.
I might pick back up later.
Right now I want to explore, dress up in STLKR gear, and wander around SL. And of course today I'm trolling.

From: Siggy Romulus Caring what most other ppl think. They can't think what they want so long as they don't post it, eh? It's odd the "stop posting about the signs" voting proposal and how it contrast with the free speech quote in your sig. I suppose that since the sign objections don't use foul language, and talk place in a forum designed for expressing your views, instead of taking place on your employer's property and disturbing his abiltiy to get what he pays for from the employees, that is no fun to defend.

I have quit building as things continue to move on their own, and now I am going to quit reading the forums for a week or two to see if this bullshit over these stupid signs dies down, it is beyond ridiculous.

I stopped ranting about how some frigging idiot built some huge building, that prevented me from getting from point A to B (this was before point2point teleporting).
I also stopped relogging continiously when passing from sim to sim, because my attachments don't ghost anymore.

I pretty much quit going to clubs. I liked going to clubs and skating and jumping and just listining to the music and running dance animations.
I just did it too much, too often, too long a stretches at a time.
Not that I won't ever do it again, but it's been months and it will take more months to need that again.
The live music places don't count, I go to them to listen to the music, basically, just like it was on the radio live, except the player might say hello when you start listening and might take a request.

Not really because they're both funny. And for the record - I'm in the 'so long as he's in the TOS camp' But then again - I quit caring what other ppl think - and my life is a lot happier.

I quit hanging around with only my group of friends on a tiny, over-lagged sim and decided to explore more. Who needs only 5 friends when there is so much more out there?

I stopped making freebies for the sake of making freebies. The permissions system doesn't encourage it, and I got tired of it turning into a burden when parasites decide they're there for them to make some free welfare on. I still package free textures because I upload them for my own use, and I still offer $1 houses and furniture because I've built them already for my own amusement and/or use, but I no longer do it out of any altruistic good-will. When you get bit often enough, you stop feeding strays.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville What have you stopped doing in SL that you used to do? I stopped doing animations. It's a lot of work and not nearly as fun as nation building. ~Ulrika~

I stopped helping new members since my input on improving the syetem was met with such defensive LINDEN atitude and I quit mentors after nearly 2 years in the group.
I stopped trying to make SL a better place for ALL and started making it a better place for ME.

hmm, I've stopped:
1) buying land (not worth investment) 2) shopping with nothing specific in mind (texture issue) 3) going to clubs unless invited by a friend/owner (language/vulgarity issue) 4) promoting my amusement park (script issue) 5) having pixel sex (bleh) 6) helping new people at the amusement park (never there) 7) shooting in Jessie/Rausch/on my land (shield broke in 1.7) Why am I still in SL? I like to talk to the few friends who remain friends.

I quit going to places where the collective IQ is lower than my shoe size, which seemed to include quite large sections of SL. And am much more at home there now.

I have stopped:
1) Going to clubs...no energy and time becoming limited. 2) Posting in the forums...making an exception this once. 3) Mentoring...too many reasons to list and a few are bound to start flame wars.

Going to events. I used to spend most of my SL time going to events. Aside from the odd Linden town hall meeting, I haven't been to an event in over a year.
