Going to events. I used to spend most of my SL time going to events. Aside from the odd Linden town hall meeting, I haven't been to an event in over a year.

I stopped doing anything that could be considered marginally productive as the "platform" steadily degraded since around v1.4. Now it is just a sometimes pretty chat room to me.

I've kind of quit exploring.
Seen one club/mall/sign infestation/512 freebie-housing-plex seen 'em all, y'know?

I go where i'm invited. If someone sees something cool (and often it's mentioned here on the forums, which is why i still check the posts) then i'll go check it out.
Otherwise.... meh.

I stopped ranting about how some frigging idiot built some huge building, that prevented me from getting from point A to B (this was before peer2peer teleporting).

I also stopped relogging continiously when passing from sim to sim, because my attachments don't ghost anymore.

If you need to fill the time made available by stopping ranting about running into buildings, may I offer the following suggestion:
Why not start a thread about the Impeach George Bush signs?

It's the in thing. It's cool, everybody's who's anybody is doing it. Everybody loves them. Folks just can't get enough.

just about everything. there's not much in SL to hold my interest at the moment. got sick of drama and wasted time, so i barely log in. i now have more free time to do the things i actually want to do, instead of doing things that other people want me to do.

I've stopped...

1. responding to 'chicken' comments. I am much cooler than a chicken now. Or... hotter. Or.... hmm.... tricky one, that.

2. going to the WA, pretty much, save for my lunch hours & morning hours at work.

3. procrastinating on building some things I've had backlogged for months.

4. avoiding the idea of "Making special avvies for big holidays" (Translation: Look for Lovebird avvies next month!

5. Reading Bush Sign Guy threads.

I stopped sugarcoating my answers to tech support questions (in RL too).
I stopped trying to interpret broken/slanged IM typing. (Use. A. Complete. F*cking. Sentence. You. Dolt.)
I stopped tolerating people that would IM me incessently with requests for copies of my stuff.
(Oh, and if you only have >L$100 and want a copy/mod version of a dangerously unstable alpha, I will just give you something dangerously unstable instead. Caveat Emptor)
I stopped arguing with simple-minded people. (Instead I shush them, or shoot them)

I've stopped ghosting...

but I've also stopped a lot of things.

Last night I decided to start again.

So I went to the store.. got a book... hacked for 2 hours with a friend in LSL and came up with two player tic tac toe and now working an som AI for it.

I've also stopped calling SL anything BUT a game.

I've stopped wondering what other residents think of my SL friends. I prefer to live in a pink haze and assume that they find us as witty and amusing as we ourselves do. But the reality is that we still get a lot of mileage out of the 'ol can of beans.
