Blah blah blah, definitions this, definitions that. The point is: furries are freaks.

sourceNote the "person OR animal" part--so it doesn't matter if the furreaks are persons OR animals OR persons acting as animals OR WHATEVER! They're all still freaks. :P

actually, the animal part only refers to the first definition as in something that is deformed. It does not refer to the second or subsequent definitions.

Helps to read more thoroughly, Jinsar: "markedly unusual or deformed". Furries are definitely markedly unusual (and I could also argue deformed) relative to normal humans (that aren't disfigured, missing limbs, etc).

I read it plenty thoroughly. Unusual is quite subjective, and in the context of SL, they're hardly unusual. There seems to be a large furry population as well as a large "non-standard" human population. I can guarentee that the vast majority of avatars people choose is not "usual" to their appearance nor the normal appearance in society. Given that over half of the population is obese, everyone on SL is a freak because they are not the average "norm".

"blending human and animal during sex, in any degree or percentage is beastiality."

Unless you're talking about surgically attaching non-human body parts to humans, you really shoulding be talking about "blending human and animal". A human being pretending to have animal atributes is not suddenly part-human part-non-human.

Last time I checked, roleplaying a nurse in a pvc outfit and low-cut top doesn't give you medical expertise. If it did, we could fill the shortage in our hospitals by rounding up strippers and prostitutes.

"which is perhaps .00001% of the global population"

I would like to see that backed up with documented evidence before you start citing it as basis for your assertions.

0.00001% translates to 60,000 furries in the world. There are more than that number on Second Life. You're somewhat off.

In any case, the percentage of people with your specific characteristics is 1 in 6 billion. You are extremely abnormal. Is this somehow something to be ashamed of?

"Who's to truly know if one is really happy and healthy?"

The person themselves. If I tell you that I feel happy and I feel healthy, then you have no right to tell me otherwise, and no reason to tell me to change. The only person you are able to truly govern is yourself. You should spend more time on that person and less on what everyone else is doing.

"How can remaining true to onself online be cause for thinking there is some underlying psychological issue?"

You seem mixed up. If, to me, being true to myself is to wear a tail and ears, expressing certain characteristics in my personality in an accentuated way (much in the same way as a peace activist might wear a Y symbol), then how is tjat something I should not do?

You are not asking furries to be true to theirselves. You are asking them to change who they are to please you, and then be true to that. Why should they be human in a virtual world THAT EXISTS ENTIRELY IN FANTASY?

"Perhaps you'll want to go take a basic psychology class and get a clue about human behavior."

You're lecturing me about human psychology and you haven't heard of Kinsey?

"I mention and explain that in another thread (do a search as I don't feel like referencing it for you)."

So are you a smurf in real life?

"However, your system is NOT correct"

I think you will find that it is.

"I simply won't feel like replying to you if you don't feel like you want to follow forum posting etiquette."

I prefer to treat each of my posts like a letter, which hopefully prompts me to concentrate on their quality. Hence the proper format (with one nod towards ease of reading with spaced, rather than indented, paragraphs), and my name at the end to clearly mark that my post is finished, checked and capped off.

I'm sorry if you have a hard time reading conventional english text. But, in the end, that's your problem. I am using the commonly-used, perfectly understandable system. You are not.

Musuko.

Its obvious noone can accept my view of what beastiality is and how if includes furries yiffing. Your loss, because you'll never convince me that my logic is wrong. And I won't try to convince you that your view is wrong and never have, only tried to get my view seen and understood. You, obviously, lack that ability. Have fun being intolerant.

Oh well..least I wasn't intolerant (I never told you to quit or get yiffing banned, now did I?).

You can't even make a proper logical connection yourself. No one needs to show you its wrong.

There is a difference between intolerance and not suffering a fool. The viewpoint that yiffing is bestiality has no basis on anything and could be construed as hate speech based on the connotation. You can sit there and pretend all you like, but the definition doesn't fit.

Is a freak and proud of it!

But in the end we all are freaks so who cares i don't. I don't hate anyone because of what they are but who they are.

All I ask is next time, if you are going to make a statement which can be construed as a form of trolling, that you define what you mean in that post.

While you may have a technical point, not making the technical point at the time you post the soundbite is inflammatory, and it's hard to argue that you did not mean it to be if you don't clarify this up front.

A little forethought goes a long way.

You *CAN* be intolerant without calling for a ban on a group if you are disrespectful of that group.

Do try to understand where the other side is coming from, and it'll help you to respect them. For instance, I can see where Jonas's argument is coming from. He views the furries as animal-people, and therefore if two of them decide to emulate procreative activities, it could be seen as human-animal. This I take to be his reasoning, although I believe that it has to be twisted to fit what might be an emotional conclusion.

However, now that I see that basis, I can now question that if both avatars are furry, then they are "mating" with their own kind, which is a far cry from bestiality, for either they are both human, or they are both animal.

I do have qualms with yiff, but it's more related to why I would have qualms with more human porn sims. And that reason is simply that it cheapens the intimacy reserved for a holy institution (ie marriage). In saying this, I express my own morals, while respecting that there are those who do not hold to it. This is their choice.

Last thought: As with any online gathering place where RP and alternate selves may come into play, there is a danger one will forget who they really are, and get lost in a fantasy world. This is true of furs and also true of any other place in SL. It's a universal problem, and not just a fur problem.

I think that with a lot of furs, the avatars are simply an expression of what the person either thinks of themselves, or strives to be (or a combination). But once again, this is a universal tendency, and may even begin with which groups you choose to be a part of.

You've not really explained how consential fantasy play between two humans can be considered to be the same as sex between a human and a non-human.

dont forget the

1. immature behavior of most resedents
2. abuse , attacks,
3. failure of most abuse reports to really have any acton being taken to them
4. favored priority of one community members complaint over anothers.

its a mess the whole game is a mess the community the abuse report support ...the security

its a giant mess. i found as a general rule no offence but when you have a strong "gor community" in a game you tend to have a company that doesnt handle abuses and problems very well.

happened with another game activeworlds and seems to be happening here. no offence.

something needs to be done.

Once again we have a example of how some people in SL refuse to listen and plug their ears to reasoning, choosing to believe the lie their lack of understanding has created. Shall I post more web sites showing info on furries? We are not animal or human. We are a totally different life force created from fantasy, like elves and pixies. I bet you don't really like those either huh? The difference between age play and fantasy, is Kids exist IRL but we don't.

If you were born IRL as a dog, and you found another dog attractive, would engaging on them be beastiality? I wouldn't think so. Only if one of you was a human. Now if i choose to engage in intimate relations with another anthropomorphic wolf, how would that be beastiality? It isn't cuz none of use are really animals or humans. Do Dragon's Unicorn's or phoenix's exist? No but they are considered furries and they also can yiff. I see Eep's and Jones's post's as a personal attack on me and my lifestyle. Which is against the TOS if you didn't know.

Want to know what furries are?
Link Link Link Link Link Link Link Link

if none of those links helped to figure out that furries are not beastialists then your obviously brushing us off choosing to be irrational. Just trying to troll the forums and get ya self banned.

I'd started reading this thread this morning thinking it raised some vaild points and wondering where the thread would conclude. How utterly amusing to find its wound up like so much of these forums... a pointless bickering of who's sexual practice is making whom uncomfortable. Nice, real nice.
Anyone else feel the decay of this thread sort of emphasies the banality of the forums?

ANYONE can define furries. My definition is part human part animal. Therefore yiffing is beastiality.

You can't call my views on yiffing a personal attack because it ISN'T. I have in no way told you to stop or otherwise cease the behavior. Do not refer to me further until you can accept BOTH sides of an argument as each persons views. Thats what tolerance is, not everyone agreeing on your definition of furry which is incorrect in my view.

Don't like? Deal with it.

If you can't accept that some see furry yiffing as beastiality then you are obviously choosing to be irrational - don't be a troll.

Just be aware, Jonas, that others define both furries and bestiality differently than you do and accept it. If you wish for us to accept that you define it as you do, you have to accept that we have defined it differently. To ask the first and deny the second is arrogance.

You might also consider that bestiality is generally considered a very grave offense and to use it in such a loose manner can and will be deemed an insult to those whom you talk about, even some who aren't involved in the actual yiff part.

Hang around furries sometime without using terms deemed judgmental and offensive, and you will find that furries tend to be more human than animal most of the time, and that there is more than just yiff to it.

Oh I accept others define furries differently. I also never said it applied to the nonyiffers. If anyone has a problem with my views, they can shove it where the sun don't shine. I'm not hurting anyone with how I see it.

My entire point is they have to accept I define furry differently.

edit: I am aware some are thin skinned, but I have never been, nor will ever be one to bow to political correctness. This isn't even a matter of political correctness- because the furry culture isn't a race. Its a choice. There ar eno furries born in the real world. The day a half bunny half human baby is born, look for me to be more sensative.

Something I've always wondered is how they get away with porn using sausages.

I mean, surely that's both bestiality and necrophilia.

Yif, you're REALLY grasping at straws here trying to justify/rationalize your lifestyle. Whether or not furries are humans dressing up as animals is irrelevent. Furries are still humans ROLE-PLAYING some kind of cross-bred human-animal (some argue humans ARE animals). Regardless, whether or not "yiffing" is beastiality, it's still abnormal and freakish.

Oh and don't even THINK about claiming furries are in the same class of fantasy as elves, pixes, etc, which have been around for HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of years before furries.
