Isn't his suspension for 7 days, starting 2-3 days or so ago? Even if you did get enough people to sign this, and even if online petitions actually did anything, his suspension will long since be up.

It's neither in the interest of the company or the players... Don't get me wrong. I have nothing whatsoever against Cristiano. I hope he can argue his case and return sooner. We are your customer base. We do not agree with this decision, and would like to let you know this is harming your image as well as us directly. Please think better in the future. Thank you". I am not voting on anything with the expectation it will make a direct difference and that they unbannify anyone at all. Unfortunately, information on what is involved CAN'T be post for fear of being banned ourselfs (Thank you LL for that fear). Those who follow the political situations here and saw the relivant posts will vote, or not as is thier whim. As to the impact of the post; No, it will not have an impact on the sentense, but like rl law, we can hope to set a precidence so tradgities of injustice like this are not repeated in the future. Things done like this to customers, who pay LL to provide a service, reflect badly up LL themselves. Knowing what this is about I look with distain upon those involved in the "justice" handed out. It was shortsighted, hastely done, and all in all a very poor decision. Moving so fast on issues like this which should have taken time to find out all relivant facts reflects poorly on LL when coresponding justice agsint griefing of thier customer base is done so slowly. *signed* ~Jessy _____________________

The policy you mention is not at all clear; in fact it could be argued that the suspension itself is a violation of policy. _____________________

For a start, I am not a guest. I am a paying customer, and over the years have paid Linden Lab quite a lot of money. That's true but you are also a guest of sorts (notice I mentioned both) as you are only here for as long as you respect the TOS and the service continues. So you are also subect to LL's goodwill and terms and conditions. Which means that you are a guest in the sense that paying money is not the only condition to be here (by far if we look at the free accounts). Apologies if I didn't make my meaning clear. I also consider myself a customer but am aware of the limitations that go with that. That being said, I've said my piece on this. I don't believe that this kind of petition is useful or desirable but you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. So I'm happy to agree to disagree with the people who think it has a reason to be. Wendel |
