"We will be deploying server version 1.25.3 to Second Life in a rolling restart on Tuesday/Wednesday July 20-21."

July? My guess is you're going to want to fix this. :D

Yikes. If it's July and we're still going to deploy 1.25, I am going to weep as nobody has ever wept before.

If there is only one error in a post please ignore it as I will usualy make only one per post. The same goes for grammer.

I'd say you're guaranteed to make at least two errors per post as long as that's your sig. ;-)

(Two Ls in "usually" + "grammar";)

Just how often do you guys have new releases anyway?? And how could the last time I visited here be 01-01-1970 at 12:00 AM?!?!

In an ideal world, we'd do a rolling restart with a server deploy once a month. In reality, it's both more often and less often than that. Less often, in that, especially in the last year or two, it's taken us a lot longer to go from one major release to the next. More often in that once we put out a major release (as was the case with 1.24), we sometimes have to do a few point releases after that.

Note that between mid-October and mid-December, there were no full-grid rolling restarts. We did do a pilot roll of 1.25 a few times, but they didn't work out so we didn't put it on the whole grid. The last full-grid rolling restart was in late December for 1.24.10.

I hope this new version works better than the previous one.
In the mean time, i'm still waiting to get in. I keep on getting this message that i have to wait because there are too many people on the grid.
Ok, in a case like this, why not start by denying access to the freebies, so that paying customers can log in?
Not that i have anything against these freebies, but they take away my right as a paying customer to get on the grid......

first off... free accounts are NOT just camping.. MOST of use actually HAVE and DO buy lindens, WE don't go premium because there is no need to have linden land or even worth bothering about the weekly stipend which doesn't even amount up to what your paying... JUST because you pay to OWN linden land yes that's right you pay for the privilege to own linden land. also what you are wanting hasn't anything to do with coding update, that is down to the servers them selves

The central deploy is complete, except for the nightly maintenance hosts ("nightly" continues on through the middle of the day, and I don't want to disturb them until they're done; I'll do them this evening), and some internal logging hosts (I need to get with the logging people). All the on-grid centrals have been updated.

Pilot rolling restart tomorrow morning.
