Personally speaking ..........
I'd like to teach the world to sing In perfect harmony I'd like to hold it in my arms And keep it company (That's the song I hear) I'd like to see the world for once (Let the world sing today) All standing hand in hand And hear them echo through the hills For peace throughout the land
....... and I'd probably be enjoying a refreshing Coca-Cola too.

A new Council tax re-evaluation policy wants to charge us more if we live in a nice area. That ought to mean discounts for those of us who live in rough areas.
There is a huge council house in our street. The extended family is run by a grumpy old woman with a pack of fierce dogs.
Her car isn't taxed or insured, and doesn't even have a number plate, but the police still do nothing.
Her bad tempered old man is notorious for racist comments.
A shopkeeper blames him for ordering the murder of his son and his son's girlfriend, but nothing has been proved yet.
All their kids have broken marriages except the youngest, who everyone thought was gay.
Two grandsons are meant to be in the Army but are always out partying in nightclubs. They are out of control.
Honestly - who'd live near Windsor Castle ?

If everybody just drank wine there'd be no trouble in the world. Californian wine is nice and THAT'S American - ergo Americans rule ok.

I prefer lemo myself, and I don't care where it comes from as long as the lemons are freshly squeezed, and it comes with a generous helping of pie, preferably blueberry

Californian wine is nice and THAT'S American - ergo Americans rule ok. Can't stand wine, it makes me sick. Rum meanwhile I can drink loads of (straight if I have to) and be perfectly fine the next day, maybe a little tired, maybe not hungry, but not sick. Therefore I can only conclude that I am in fact a pirate.

Might be. I do know that they all dress in check shirts though, and chop lots and lots of wood. And that's just the women.

I imagine people are rude pretty much in the same proportions worldwide.
Doing the basic Math of SL population it will appear that Americans tend to be more rude, since 30% of the population is from the US.
If you are the largest group you will have the largest number of anything assuming a consistent proportion after all.
The OP seems to be from the UK. Im sure there are rude people in the UK. Using the logic implied by this thread there are more rude UK people who are white than any other UK racial group. Since white people are the largest racial group in the UK.
Now if the OP is going to complain that AMericans are more rude PROPORTIONALLY than those of other countries, she is going to first have to specifically define "rude".
Otherwise there is no way to track down if its a culturally based trait or not.
Not that "American Culture" is truly separate from "Western European Culture" in reality they are fairly close.
The word "rude" is pretty vague after all. And to my mind it describes an aspect human behavior, and not culturally based.

Do Germans always get always get up three hours before everyone else while on holidays just to reserve a poolside seat?
I'm afraid they do. I lived in Spain and I saw them do it. Then they go back to bed knowing that most people are too polite to move their towels. I did

Actually on a absolute basis there are more smart people in SL who are American than Europeans.
Since the US player population is larger. Proportionally of course human intelligence is pretty consistent. So if you pick 10 people form the US and 10 people from Europe each group will have a comparable number of "smart people".
Following this - for non SL players:
China and India have the most Smart people in the world, and together house 1/3 of all smart people on Earth.
(and probably 1/3 of all rude people as well...)

Now, who should we blame for that? Americans, of course. They make us eat too much crap food Wait till they start exporting cheese in a can!
