I was just told about this thread and I agree with Ciera, You people here are horrible. Ciera is one of the most helpful and generous people I have ever met in sl. She helped me go from that aweful noob pale face to my new look.

I love having big tits in SL and I don't see why its any of your business to be picking on us. We don't pick on you.

I hear snide remarks all the time from the likes of you and I am glad Ciera is drawing the line in the sand. I will have all my friends come see what is being done here. To us you skinny little creeps are equally blah. ugh. Get a second life or work on your first one.

Who are these people to judge us and how we want to look? Are they that shallow? Ciera I'm posting this in all our groups. This type attack needs to stop now.
And to the catgirl your just a bandwagon jumper it appears. I cannot say what I really want to but you must have serious self issues I bet. Ciera your beautiful and I'm very thankful I have met you. Don't let these losers put you down. Fight back.

To the people who are taking it upon themselves to bring this into SL, I suggest not doing so.

These are forum opinions, this was a discussion, there is no need to violate the TOS by harassing people inside of SL for the opinions they have here.

To the freaks who are picking on her you should take a long look at yourself first. Ciera I will take you shopping ok hun? I know you were looking at that 75m black yacht. Consider it as a treat on me. Find a place to put it.

Thanks for the linky Derri. I'm glad i can identify these people and will add them to my sim lists. Ciera I am speaking to you now. You and your wonderful breasts are always welcome at our castle. Let the haters stand in the corner here because your to bright a star to cower in the shadows. I have seen you do lots of things. Build sims and businesses almost over night by magic. What have these people done? Leave them to thier own little pity party.

I don't know who you people are and i don't want to. To post things like you have in this thread is beyond belief. There are names for residents like you but modesty prevents me from uttering them.

Tolerance is the key!!
09-09-2009 22:55
What I'm trying to get at is that SL is supposed to be about tolerance just as much as tolerance has to be practiced in RL, it's up to Linden Labs and SIM owners (and individual parcel owners too) to decide what type of content they are willing to allow on their property. IT IS NOT up to individuals to say that ANYONE has no right to go anyplace looking a certain way, as long as that person is not in violation of both the Linden Labs Terms of Use AND the particular restrictions put in place by land owners they have every right to go wherever they want to and the individuals that are harassing those people for looking different need to realize this fact, for it is indeed a fact not fiction!!! Furthermore unless I'm terribly mistaken harassing an individual for the appearance of their avatar is a violation of the Terms of Use set down by Linden Labs, furthermore I believe those Terms of Use extend to the use of these forums as well. TO PUT IT SIMPLY IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY SOMEONE LOOKS YOU SHOULD GET OVER IT!! In SL as much as in RL people have the right to make themselves look however they want to, be it by wearing their hair in an unusual style or having tattoos or having large breasts, or going unshaven, IT IS THEIR CHOICE NOT YOURS. If you find yourself in a place in RL where there are a lot of people that you don't like the looks of you always have the right to make the choice to leave, same goes for SL, you don't have the right to try to force your opinion on others, you can voice your opinion but you cannot try to force others to conform to your beliefs, that goes against the very principles of freedom to express yourself (which not only applies to you but to the other person as well), SL is in part founded on the premise of freedom of expression I believe, otherwise we wouldn't have virtual art galleries showcasing the works of one particular artist. By the same token many people consider their Avatar to be THEIR canvas for self expression, in much the same way that in RL many people consider their body to be a canvas. In RL there are expected standards of behavior for public places, I believe the same applies to places in SL just as much. Typically you don't go into a place in RL that has people frequenting it that have a particular difference that you don't agree with and start spouting your beliefs to the public without expecting at least some form of recrimination from those there, by the same token you shouldn't go into a forum or a place in SL and do likewise without expecting some form of recrimination in return. Your beliefs are just that YOUR beliefs and not everyone else's, it would do everyone well to remember this fact!!! Attempting to force your beliefs on others can in RL get you injured or barred from certain places, in SL it can get you banned from certain places or even get your account deleted, if you enjoy SL half as much as I think you do then it's in your best interest to practice some restraint and tolerance much as you would do in RL, assuming that you are safe just because you are in a virtual environment is poor thinking, there can be legal ramifications from your actions as well as the possibility for personal criticism for your behavior. I hope everyone will take the point of this comment for what it is meant to be, simply an advocacy for tolerance and restraint, I'm not saying that one side or the other is exactly right, just that everyone has their own views and we should ALL try to accept and respect that fact. It is people that do not accept and respect that fact that cause much of the war and death in RL, they believe that their way is the only way completely ignoring the fact that like it or not we all have to live on this planet together (at least until space transportation becomes feasible for the private individual). And yes I know it's a bit long winded, and could probably use a paragraph break here and there but I'm not some English major, just a normal person that's had to put up with her fair share of ridicule in RL and in SL.

Derri, sweetheart, you just went around "blabbing your mouth" about thinking demons and nekos are stupid. kay. So you are no better now than the people you are yelling at. All they did was state an opinion, same as you just did.

And wow, looks like someone went into SL and whined to all of their friends that "people are being mean to me on the forums, please go fight my argument that I can't win myself." Sad, indeed, that you have to recruit people to defend you posts, must mean they can't stand on their own merit.

Aeronya, people typically will not read this kind of massive wall of text ranting. It's hard on the eyes and tedious. Just a little FYI, you know, in case you want someone to actually read your posts.

Well, on the constructive side - my shape (with a different face) is now out there as a copy / mod freebie. Give people some alternatives to the giant-shapes. At 5'2", she's about the international norm for an adult woman (and tall for my own ethnicity), but in SL she's short.

Moving next to making one with a proportions guide - will be fun to see how poorly my shape matches that. :D

They have choices, don't they? Look in your library now. I think it's the "girl next door" newbie outfit? Short by SL standards, weight proportional to height. What's all the to-do about?

Volunteering to give someone a makeover who thinks they already look fine prolly just brings them down. Handing them kits that instruct them on how to get RL proportions just results in a lot of clones walking around who are scared to use the sliders.

*shrugs* I think anyone who wants to be the SL fashion police should start a blog.
.

She's still pretty damn thin though - you can't start off curvy.

I'm with you on this Nika, although you might want to distance yourself from me by the time I'm done.

I'm not sure why the irony is lost on the people who want to prescribe what's acceptable in SL.

I've read with interest, and supported I might say, people justifying their right to "be who they want to be"; in the form of Furries, Goreans and yes.. toddlers who demand to be treated as such right up to the point where they like to flirt with "Daddy".. all with the justification that it's not "real".

Glass houses and all that..

Just let people be who they want to be, look how they want to look and stop getting on your judgemental high horses, because seriously.. the appetite for playing a talking cat in SL doesn't display any more intellect or originality or creativity than trying to look like Pamela Anderson.

Or maybe they felt this thread deserved to be followed by those that it directly affects (those with more radical than normal physical attributes), that way those individuals would have the opportunity to stand up for their rights to have their AV look however they want as long as it doesn't violate the TOS or any particular Sim rules.

Hmm, doubt that actually, looking at that individuals previous postings you will see that they are rather oblivious to other people's rights that don't violate the TOS, but offend their personal sensibility. No, I'll stick with my original thought, someone went whining to get "friends" to back them up because their ideas can't bear scrutiny when compared with their previous statements.

Dress how you want, I'm not going to say you need mental health assistance because you want to dress your cartoon character in a particular way. ... where as certain individuals do say that.

Wow, I count 5 troll alt posts one right after the other. Come on, troll, you can do better than that.

I'm coining a new form term--Frankentroll.

I can only guess TundraFire that you ascribe to the definition of "Troll" as being anyone who posts something with which you disagree.

Also since you bandy the epithet around so freely, I can only assume it's because you have neither the energy nor wit to put your own point of view across.

I'm not a troll, I just get really really tired of this crass old routine.

If you disagree, or have your own point of view, then please articulate it.

Finally , while I'm not sure I can do better per se, I'm pretty sure I can do better than you.

Not a proud boast considering, but enough for now.

I have never seen this type of description of a female upper chest development before. Would that equate to a 36DD?

Pep (only has a 48" upper chest.)

I read the article about Barbie in real life terms some time ago, and on paper. Trying to google for similar articles I found these:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7920962.stm (centimeters)

http://www.christian-mommies.com/ages/tweens-and-teenagers/poor-barbie (inches)

So, either my memory or my math failed. Pep you were much closer to the estimates.

Btw, I believe Barbie was originally inspired by/modeled on a German sex doll named Lili.

Bravo! I agree absolutely, 100%.

We ARE referring to Ciera's vicious and misguided tirade and crusade against child avatars here, right?
