A lot of "men-becoming-women" go this route. It's their masturbation ideal prolly. So they can be a woman and have fun watching her become a sex object for a man. And their not doing this to strike a blow for feminism. Pale skin - the Caucasian skin is still "supremo" - I am coffee-coloured and you should hear what men say to me when I am in sl and at "play". Some words are NOT worth repeating. And the attitude towards a non-white female is often "mastery of the slave or noble savage". I just plonk along with my normal size - I even try to get my tummy right. I think I look good in sl and no one has complained yet in-world OR in real. I dunno... Everytime I go to deviantart or elfwood its tween and teen girls who draw in the spidery-long no head no hips style... http://www.elfwood.com/ http://www.deviantart.com/ - The boobs though... I'll give you that one. Seems to waver between both sexes obsessing there. There are plenty of women who feel an obsession with getting boob jobs - and not all of them are even 'straights'. As for skin tone, Brown is beautiful! - I'm a Chinese / Amazonian mix, so the light brown tone that PixelPaws called 'Dark' which I used for Pussycat is actually somewhat close to my RL tone. And yeah - white boyz often have issues with that... mostly in RL - I haven't bothered enough in SL to find out. - Ok, I have a bias for deep skin tones. But in SL my complaint isn't about my own bias, but the lack of variety. Go to a skin shop, even a very good one, and 90% of the skins are white-girl only. I use Pixel Paws, and I use the "Dark" tone and just look at my forum avatar - that's not dark... But outside of the gray she sells for drow, its the darkest tone she has. In response I put out a 1L 'mocha colored' tone, and its been selling pretty solidly. It's only 1L to cover costs of the uploads, and because its based on the Eloh skins so its not to be sold 'for profit.' If it had been a skin I could ethically sell for 500-1000L, I'd be raking in the lindens right now. Demand is there, supply is lacking. I'm no skin maker in any sense of the term... but I've already put out two skins in response to frustration (the other one is black, as in #000000 black, with midnight blue highlights - in response to my looking at "drow" tones and thinking, "Why is this gray?"  ..._____________________

That's why I went for blue highlights. I use it on my Usagi alt, and it works pretty well. Its lacking good 'genital detail' - but hey, I'm largely giving it away in the hopes that somebody who knows how to make these things better than me sees someone with it on and the mental notion clicks that they don't need to make drow 'gray'...

I've switched to an ethnic African-American skin for the past few weeks and have gotten rave reviews on it. I had to totally redo all of my tats for it and then i had to do that crazy freckles mod i figured out, but it has been totally worth it.
Now i wear a lot of various hair styles consisting of braids & dreads. One person told me they did not like me looking like a race i am not in RL...  Which i found disturbing.I'll check those out. Black skins just become shadows and mattes in sl. _____________________

I actually think it's a funny term. My only beef in the other thread was the hypocrisy of whining about being stereotyped and bashed while doing the same thing to all the giants out there. This is the norm for many here. They believe themselves to be all self-righteous all the while sniping from afar. But it's always ok because it's never them, it's always someone else in the wrong. Walk through the fantasy section of a bookstore and you'll see artwork of them.But they are a midnight black, not a gray. I'm no fan of DnD / western fantasy, being a 'darkie' myself in RL, and not by my opinion evil, but I just kept noticing how the ones in SL were the wrong color. I didn't get motivated to make my own black color skin until I decided my Usagi would look better as a black rabbit than an off-pink one or a spotted one. What actually happened was a friend gave me a 'skin' that was just a black pixel and nothing more - I put it on and gasped, but then grew frustrated at the lack of highlights, so I started photoshopping and eventually got the look that, after finishing it, realized was also the color I usually saw on Drow on fantasy book covers. _____________________
