No, there are just two meanings for "come", just as for one of the meanings, there is an alternate (slang) spelling.

LOL, now THAT's funny!

I'm sure if Dr. Pepper knew you, he wouldn't need to resort to bottles. He is an old fella, after all.

I think, as is fairly apparent from your other posts, that you *do* get it, seriously, and fairly regularly too.

Pep (Or are you suffering withdrawal symptoms until your new ASUS arrives?)

Jiggy I am afraid it might be like the sailors and their socks. I hope not though, because it sounds dangerous if that's the case.

Yeah, maybe.

Who knew that it came bottled? (So to speak . . .)

Doesn't say much for Dr Pepper, either. Those mouthpieces are hardly antique milk jugs. I hope we are wrong.

You know, the mental images that this is conjuring are not . . . pretty.

originally the slang spelling was the only spelling for the "product" with the common spelling referring to the action (as a shortened form of "come to climax";) language is funny that way.

Since we're quibbling, I challenge you to document that. ;) In any case, the verb form was used.

In any case, puns are always based on either homonyms (or near misses), regardless of whether the spelling matches. So it was a pun, nothing worse. Whether there is anything worse is another matter. ;)

Um, what were we talking about?

Jiggy, you know how naive I can be about these things, but I think it is just like that and if it didn't fit he had good aim. Or a funnel? I don't know

As Lear tends to ignore me (probably due to my well known virtue) you must check with him to see if that is what he meant.

Well i mean it is Cheating, Even if your not having REAL SEX its the words, thoughts and Emotions that come with and from it!

I realize that this will shock your sensibilities, but not EVERYONE on the planet (or on the Grid) practices monogamy. In RL, I have REAL sex with two different men... one of them was the best man at my RL wedding to the other... and both of them are fully aware of my relationship with the other. In SL, my profile makes my relationship to both of them abundantly clear as well.

They, in turn, also have partners other than me. And referencing another thread on a similar topic, yes, we sometimes pass messages for each other to the other partners, in RL and in SL.

I've been with these two men for 12 years and 10 years respectively... the 10 years, incidentally, is with my husband. The other guy was here first. *chuckling*

Not everyone lives their life, or their relationships, by the same rules... and if it works for those involved, if those involved are in agreement, then no, it's not cheating. No one is being betrayed or lied to or deprived of anything. And here's a newsflash, there are literally MILLIONS of people who choose this for themselves and for their relationships and who make it work.

My partners and I are extremely happy with each other...we love one another deeply, our commitment and bond is strong. We don't give up on each other when we have problems, we work them out, together... often with the other partners helping where they can if need be. How many people do you know have been with their partner as long as I've been with either of mine, AND who have exceptionally happy, fulfilling and amazing relationships with their partner? I see "mono's" getting divorced constantly, flitting from one relationship to another (serial monogamy), unable to commit or keep a relationship going for more than a couple of years... and yet MY relationships are the ones judged? Please... they only wish they could be as happy as we are.

I don't ignore you, unless you're going on about a subject on which we'll never agree.

And, it's just a joke. But for the Dr's sake, I hope they're old fashioned milk bottles. It's a very old joke, after all. ;-)

Right, and in your relationships, that's precisely what counts: yours and your partners'. And their partners', if applicable. ;-)

Going on :( I thought it was because of my virtuous attributes and sterling reputation.

Thanks for clearing that up. Cue Scylla and the EWWWWWWs.
