Pep (You can't unbreak something, despite what Miley Cyrus's Dad said. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIqMflhH1LY)

PS Take that as my contribution as an universal truth: You can't unbreak anything. Unless Cher had her wish come true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OR0U87mRsY
Untrue. All you have to do is wait until the universe is contracting and you'll eventually unbreak whatever it is that you broke.

frozen water is dry, the wet layer on it is liquid water.

Ha! I knew someone would mention ice. Very well: Liquid water is wet, agreed ?

Define wet in non-subjective terms including how it relates to lake crawling insects for which the surface tension of water precludes it being called wet. Please contrast how soap is considered a wetting agent but is (at least in its powered form) not wet. Describe how you would explain to an artificial intellegence the concept of wetness without using the word "solvent". Special bonus points will be awarded for the design of a ray gun that will depolarize water molecules allowing the instant vaporization of water based organisms and the water supplies of unfriendly nations.

That will be a long time since the universe will never contract.

Another self-referentially paradoxical statement.

That's the current wisdom but it was only a few ago when the "big crunch" was the wisdom, so who knows what the next wisdom will be? Perhaps the universe really will head for a big crunch and, if it does, then on the way to it is when whatever was broken will become unbroken.

If there's going to be a Big Crunch, then it ought to come with a generous layer of caramel and be covered in a thick coating of chocolate as well. You can't do these universe obliterating things by halves.

Before that the wisdom was that sun revolved around the earth. Now it is possible that our universe will collide with another universe and re-write all the laws of physics, but in doing so it will become another universe all together.

I don't even think of that stuff as wisdom - just conjuring tricks with numbers - but, if it did, it wouldn't hurt because we're all holograms anyway :)

On the other hand, since the Milky Way prevents us from seeing a huge chunk of what's nearby, cosmically-speaking, (it's in the way) our galaxy could be in imminent danger from another one right now.
