You have prolly noticed Pep must be asleep so I can say what I like. He is all snuffly and snorey in his bed like a character in "Under Milkwood" by Dylan Thomas.
When he wakes up he'll come roaring in like a Welsh hangover on a Scotsman and sparkle me with criticism.

I was just kidding Jig. I didn't feel criticised. Your posts are always colorful reading. :)

Thanks Clarissa - now go and answer my poll on Left or Right wing values. I'm off to bed. Gonna have my nightly yoghurt and read "The Week" - my eyes ache and I need sleep.

Wow...

You actually believe that?

Some yes, but most are probably just starting an innocent conversation. But, if you assume the worst in life, you will get it.

I protect and speak for myself, but then, I don't like being subordinate to anyone.

I right click on people's attachments all the time. :) I want to know where to get that hair, or that dress, or whatever. :)
- And I don't wear things like my xcite parts unless I -want- them clicked on in that way... :)

I can't stop clicking peoples tails! those fluffy furry tails beg to be carressed! OMG I cant stop!

PS Whatever Pep says, I know much more grammar and sentence structure than he believes I do. But don't tell him. Like with all of my teachers, I like him to think I am stupid. :)

I think you'll find that my criticisms of posts (by you and others) focus more on the laziness and thoughtlessness of their construction and presentation than the actual grammar, spelling or vocabulary. I am a surprisingly good mind reader - only when there is a mind to read, of course - but I have to rely on what appears on the screen to be able to justify my criticisms.

Which is why you have been such a good target. Your historical apparent slovenliness of thought and typing offended my sensibilities; that you have cleaned up your act (and this admission) now confirms my opinion of that time that you were intentionally choosing to appear as such, and lends credence to my position.

Pep (Approbation is not my way.)

You have sensibilities? That's rotten luck! You need to get rid of that - I've heard you can get something from the doctor for it now.

I have never been on approbation in my life. Well, once or twice in boarding school. Okay, I confess! It was five times in school. One of them lasted a year. They said I was incollegeable.

One tomato so far.
What do people know about water lilies in my pond? In real. The pond's about 120 feet long and 60 to 40 feet wide. Is it a good idea to plant local water lilies in it? Serious little question.

I re-did a (much smaller) pond in May that had old water lilies in it. Our main objective was increasing the frog population, so as far as the lilies were concerned we sort of threw them back in and hoped for the best. I know for a fact frogs really do sit on them though and it's a nice feature.

Check with your local garden shop's aquatic department. Just like anything else, aquatic plants thrive at different depths and in different conditions.

One tom? ONE? Uh oh.

Okay, so frogs really do like them? I want to increase my frog population and my toads. I have a nesting heron each year and he/she decimate my frogs. Also climate change. But I dont want to deter the heron. The chick is really cute.
Way off topic now, but I also want salamanders. Local ones. But not koi coz they aren't local. I am organic. And green.
Since I am pretty much reclusive here you lot are the people I can ask. There's a woman at other end of the "point" who gnashes her teeth at my Himalyans (the poppies - the Blue species) so I am not sure I can trust her on advice.

The frogs really do like them. They sit on them. I had a large strawberry patch between 2 raised small ponds, one with water lilies the other with hanging bamboo and the frogs would use the strawberry patch as a leafy highway to cruise between the 2. They also like hidey holes. If I broke clay pots, I would turn them upside down and partially bury them in a shady corner for a frog shelter. Of course, slugs and snails like upturned clay pots too....

And Jiggy, if you get enough frogs, you can have hostas around your pond and they will look gorgeous.

edited for poppies: I have never grown the successfully, well done you. The seeds are about 4 euro a pack and it always p*sses me off when they fail.

I hope you are joking again . . .

Pep (A world of difference between probation and approbation! )

PS Re Hostas: Slugs I can understand but how do frogs eat snails? Surely their hands aren't dextrous enough to use those little snail forks?

The pond is in a wild state - like Green - local grasses and shrubs. Some bugger yonks ago treated it like a tip but I cleaned it pretty well. I tell you, people in the past had some pretty filthy habits. Imagine dumping an oven in a gorgeous Spinney! (A Spinney is a small piece of woodland, for those who wonder) I have a small spinney (with oaks) and a bigger spinney so I think hostas would work. I have some oaks around the pond. And Rhodas. Ferns ofcourse.
Thanks for ideas. :)

Ooh, good question. Maybe they don't and it is just the slugs they eat. Or maybe they suck them out of the shell with a reed straw. Sounds like one for Mr Google.

Ooh, Vinca Minor would look nice under the trees. Minor, not major. Don't let major loose. And when the periwinkle flowers, you can pull the blossoms off (don't be greedy though) and suck the nectar out.

Here is a hint to succeed with them. First, they LOVE peat moss. So I mix a healthy rough compost with the peat moss. BUT the real trick of course is not to let them flower for first 3 years. Pinch off the blooms. Then allow a blooming in fourth year. Mine are now 6 years old (planted in my very early 20's) Also they like snow cover. Mine also have shelter from Ash trees and ancient apple trees. I am told they are happiest in Scotland, so I think a raw climate is best for them.

Oh hai Cato! So nice to finally meet you! What a pleasure! Was there an original topic? Oh yes, far be it from me to participate in the natural evolution of a thread. They never twist and turn and return do they?

Fortunately Jig and I can carry on outside the forum.

Maybe if we were getting girly-wicked in front of the window he wouldn't report us ;-) As long as we weren't enjoying ourselves too much, that is.

Yeah, and anyway this is a question for the girls and we're answering the question in a kinda roundabout way. :)

Anyway, Cato is Pep, I reckon, in a bad mood.

But then... girl, sex ball, Xcite, huds, freenis, hairy manly trex arms (Hopefully enough on topic key words to meet Cato's criteria without deviating from the forum's PG ethos)...wouldn't Pep be Cato EVERY day :P ?

This was the original post. There are no plants or wildlife mentioned as far as I can see. I am not sure if Pep or I should be more insulted by your suggestion.
From: Shu Zemenis
I know many of the guys are in world for the sex stuff, but i was wondering, for the girls, how seriously do you take these issues in SL? If you are approached by a guy, would you be willing to 'do' anything with him, do you have different reactions as you would in RL or do you keep the same etiquettes?

This is out of my own experience, as i feel kinda strange when ppl approach me here...feels strange no matter how i react to them......haha........

Sorry if i am too direct about this, or if i am not supposed to post such topics here, i could easily remove it and try to find some zindra forum to post it on :P

Are you suggesting I am *always* in a bad mood?

Pep (and I am considerably more insulted than you should be, Cato. )
