From: Jig Chippewa Cristalle I did not initiate any personal attack on Bradley. First of all, Jig, welcome back. No one should feel driven from the forums. I don't think forums are for everyone. They're definitely not for anyone who is think skinned and takes things personally, but they still shouldn't be driven from them. From: Jig Chippewa I am NOT going to leave the blogs. This is why I made the comment "If only I believed it was true" after you said you were. You said I was rubbing salt in the wound, but I just new that it wasn't likely to be the case. Look, I was right. From: Jig Chippewa Hopefully, I will continue to annoy Bradley with my commentaries and possibly you. Hopefully we'll learn to either agree or agree to disagree but not annoy each other.

From: Jig Chippewa I ask why should it happen? Does the impersonal computer allow us to leave our sensibilties behind? This question has been asked more times then I wish to count. And you are not going to find ANY answers. This is the same as pondering the question 'why am I here?' Easy/obvious question. Not very answerable. All you can do is take the high road, grow some thick skin and move forward. Hopefully others will see your example, follow, and others will see your friends example, and so on where eventually things in a specific community will get better over time. Thats the BEST you can expect and hope for. Anything more is simply fooling yourself sadly. Asking the 'why are people like this' and 'why do they do this' is a futile exercise. And only results in your frustration of no answers. Again, lead by example and thick skin. The BEST skill on the net is the skill of learning too take things with a grain of salt...

Why AM I here?
/me ponders
Oh, it's because I have a lot of spare time.
Ray, it's best to read the Four Agreements while listening to the Four Tops, and before the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse appear Fourscore and seven years from now.

From: Brenda Connolly What about the Gang of Four? I'm afraid they now have to have VAT applied, so in the UK are henceforth to be known as the Gang of Four Point Seven. -- Aes

If I was asked if this thread has had any credibility I would argue that I think this thread has actually developed a sense of where we stand in a blog/thread system that isn't moderated to any great extent. I mean it when I say that I am sorry if any comments I have made have been taken the wrong way. In my reality, I am outspoken, I am pushy and I probably piss people off. I get away with it because ... well, because. But I am convinced that all of YOU are equally passionate and equally caring. YOU wouldn't be here if you weren't. Yeah, we are all different. Our sl "personas" reflect only a small slice of ourselves. I lead a life that is very isolated in many ways (and it is my personal choice and is rewarding) BUT the opportunity to mix with other people on equal terms is a major asset of secondlife that I dont have in my real life. I am moved and very happy that so many people typed into this thread. Maybe this is the essential quality of sl that will be so enduring - that as long as it survives and as long as there are people connected, we will all be "messages in bottles" on this electronic ocean. I am also truly happy that this thread has been in the top ten for at least two days. I have "touched a nerve" in the people who type - now I metaphorically stroke that nerve and calm it! Thanks. You are good people.

Can't blame ya Jig...there's already a big enough storehouse of info in the Forums anyway to just use the Search button for anything but new questions...otherwise Resident Answers will probably descend into chaos until they have Mods again.

I agree. Every thread that starts out interesting turns either into count counterpoint or some garbage about pie.
