Flowers are like artists; they serve no discernible significant functional purpose to mankind.

Pep (But you are correct; I *am* a "miserable old sod". )

You should get grounded and motivated and go for a walk. Take out the dog. Sit in your garden in a deckhair. You should join a gym or take up a sport like tennis. And eat marmite sandwiches for tea coz you cant be mizzers when you eat those. TRUE.

Yoou'd enjoy "Lost in Austen"
And the Wallender series on TV coz he has a similar mizzers atttude to life but then discovers he loves his daughter. He is a detective and is Sewdish.

Pep (Make that none. ~blah blah~ )

Wrong. And lack of originality is ~not~ a good thing in my book.

Well in Round Britain Quiz I would extrapolate your name. Scylla - many-headed sea serpent. Multiple personalities. Also - Scylla = Cilla = Cilla Black (Pep's favourite singer)

Wrong.

I have comprehensive records. You don't feature in them.

You are not too bright. I have come to the Allana sim several times when you were there. I CAN run with my draw at 512 there. Just because you are not seeing me, do not think I am not seeing you. I often go many places in SL just to see someone and get an impression of them based on their avatar to sit beside the forum impression i have.

So much for your Eidickic memory..

That includes seeing you dress as a woman.

Hahahahaha. I can see you sitting in front of your keyboard at this very moment through my secret webcam hidden in one of your pixels.

Pep (Just as likely)

PS *You* are dressed as a man!

It's good to know everyone loves me. :)

No, everyone loves me. Well except for two or three people.

Do you make a distinction between "flowers" and "blooms"? Vegetables usually have very striking flowers before they go to seed and we can eat them.

I hope to God you turned off your webcam spying on me. If not, you are sick sick sick. Or you like fat hairy men. One or the other.

My mistake, I meant fruits if you want to be technical. Squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, even peas I have raised have had blossoms.

And you didn't say "arrangements" you said "flowers".

An incidental (if necessary for non-artificial pollination) characteristic.

Just being sarcastic, as usual.

Pep (I don't like fruits or vegetables much, either.)

But for those of us who do not artificially pollinate, very useful and pretty. :)

I admire the folks who use their profiles to communicate with others. I have to confess that I never seem to get around to updating mine ... have no idea what it says, actually. I used to, when I was newer. Lazy!

Exactly. I won't have a plant in my garden unless it blooms. Flowers are a collaborative work of art developed by the spirit behind all living things, the particular plant, the weather and myself.

And then they die very quickly.

Actual conversation I had with my Grandfather (a man who spent his entire life working in underground coal mines) before he died.

GF: Chris, a man should always have flowers around his house. They show color when most of the world is black.

Me: You planted all these flowers?

GF: (with a small grin) Nope, but I dug the holes for the old lady to put them in.

Since they both passed away, I have always had a stand of transplanted Tiger Lilies taken from their yard. And I always will as long as I have the space to plant them.

No really. You were at the hang out and wearing a red dress. *shrug*

I forgot what your reasoning was. I would have to dig through some archived chat logs from mid 2008.

My Grandfather (same career - died of pneumoconiosis) concreted his yard so he didn't have to dig in his leisure time . . .

Pep ( . . . as well as his work.)

And this makes me "as plain, boring, and unoriginal as they come" in what way? :D

FALSE.

The feeling of an interminable canker on the tastebuds, the revulsion that won't go away, the glue like consistency of evil that coats your mouth. The unanswered prayer the bread will clense the palette.

Oh yes, it's more than a little possible to be miserable when eating one of those things.
