From: Marzial Box hahaha, Lear you are a visionary! I've just been "fined". Our 3rd meeting was not a romantic one, really. (see pic). That's me, banned from accessing my own land. That's our (rented) land. All "our" things now are "her" things. All our items are now in my ex-gf inventory. There are two of the friends of my ex-gf on the land. No idea what they are doing there. I have to say this was a great experience for me. So funny an original. I had the privilege to share it with an amazing girl with great personality, smart as hell and full of energy and dynamism. From the deep of my heart, I wish her the best in Second Life and I wish her the best in all the known and unknown Lives. Marzial you are a great guy and you deserve better. I think she did you a favor by letting you get out of this relationship now rather than later. Keep an eye on your lost and found folder. I suspect a lot of your objects will end up there eventually. Good Luck to you!

From: Treasure Ballinger I'm so sorry, Marzial. You seem like a nice guy, and I hope you find someone wonderful in SL who will love you back. Thanks. Treasure. I am not worried, at all. I had a lot of fun with this story. From the moment I opened her an IM in a local disco to the end of the story. I've learned a lot of things from my ex-gf. She is a real veteran SL user, not like me. We've been in SL for years but I've started to play this game "seriously" just one month ago. I think she learned some things from me too. In RL I am ten years older than her and rather experienced in some areas so that helps. She didn't take it too well at the rupture moment, but this happens in RL too so I am not surprised. She is a very intelligent girl and she will know how to make a positive balance of this experience.

Oh, Marzial....sorry to hear that. That photo is kind of sad. But you have a great attitude, great personality, and many SL romances coming your way! The more the better! You already know this.....you learn something from each one....and that's the treasure. Have Fun!

Listen Marz, if you ever need a really funny person to cheer you up and give you a shoeshine for your day just IM me. Honestly, I'm no romantic fluffball but I am a really neat, well-read, musically-switched on woman. IM me!

Oh Marzial, what a pity this has happened. I was very much enjoying following your story and believed that your thoughfulness might bring you a happier reward than this. You have a great attitude, and I think your lack of bitterness speaks volumes. Ok, gf number one was a bit of a dud. Pfft to her. Karma will be working for you to make the next foray a lot more pleasant for you, I'm sure. Oh yes..watch your lost and found folder

Good Luck to you! hi, ELi! Thanks, it's all good. She was the owner of everything we got. I forced it that way to leave her total freedom to just leave and take it all whenever she really wanted to do it. I was assuming she was going to take all the electrocrap with her if this was going to happen. I saved my clothes so that's enough for me... at least for the moment... Thanks God in SL we don't have to store our clothes in wardrobes!

Thanks, Tiffy! I am taking a break after this one... game or not game I've learned that a relation in SL is more intense and more complicated than what I supposed... In addition, we all are playing with "sensible material" here. We may (unintentionally) hurt people if we don't handle things properly. Better to charge batteries now and time will tell...

I am depressed to see how 95% (if not more) of the users who try SL just leave the first day, specially those who don't speak English at all. I would like to try to help in this. Yes, and I love pics too. The pics that the users of these boards post in diverse threads and the pics I post too, lol! To say good bye I will post one pic of myself with my new look after my gf has finally gone. I got enough Sinatra during last weeks. Time for some heavy-metal action! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Well, if you don't like lag, don't go to the most populated places in SL. The other places might be empty but you can actually walk from point A to point B without it taking an hour.
I will send you some landmarks in world but the best thing you can do is go to the places yourself before the 'date' and get familiar with them. Don't wait until that day and then you are thrown by lag, empty sim or whatever else you dislike.
But it seems to me that the biggest problem was that you took the evening TOO seriously (to the point of becoming physically ill) and your girlfriend did not take it seriously enough (to the point of being on the phone all the time.)
Set some boundaries, don't try too hard, and maybe even find someone who values your time together enough to leave the phone off the hook (or let the messages go to voice mail, as you kids call it this century.)

You want to help encourage more to leave? Pep (A sensible [sic] question: do ESLers get dropped in specially allocated Welcome Areas and have access to mentors who speak non-English language and foreign language tutorials?)

Nice, but what is REALLY needed is a "new 'revolutionary' method" to introduce non-English speakers to Pep! (OMG, what am I doing awake at 5:10 am????? )

From: Pserendipity Daniels (A sensible [sic] question: do ESLers get dropped in specially allocated Welcome Areas and have access to mentors who speak non-English language and foreign language tutorials?) I see a lot of people who speak little to no English in the basic, English speaking infohubs, and since it's their first day or few days I have to think that's where they were sent. There is a French speaking help island and one in the Japanese language. I'm not sure if any others are around. NCI hubs have a place where there are info cards in just about every language. But even in English, with all the different help available, newbies have the same basic questions once they leave help island. Which are, usually, how do I make money, how do I get a house, and what do you do here.

Wow, Marzial, you're scoring! Can I steal your method? Of course, sincerity is everything. (If I can fake that, I'll have it made.)

Marzial, I started a thread yesterday asking for suggestions about how ESLers could be helped. Maybe you would like to explain and promote your blog/resource there? Pep (constructive as ever )
