Any allegations about Brann is bogus as it gets. I don't know her beyond the forum but I can tell she is a stand up person who if she had any intention of messing with your head would do it as Brann.. not some alt. Just sayin'

If the OP is indeed so paranoid that this person contacting him is indeed an alt of someone, then insinuating that it is Brann trying to bother you is pure idiocy. Point your finger at me if you want someone to lay blame on, but I believe I can justafiably say that I have gotten to know Brann well enough to know that there isn't a snowball's chance in Hades that she'd be willing to stoop as low as the OP tries to lead one to conclude.

Where is the real evidence of this "alt abuse"? I have yet to see one single piece of real evidence to support such. So far in cases like these, the only real supporting evidence I've seen has been nothing more than paranoia driven speculation.

Here's the thing Surty, I don't care. I am not writing a dissertation. I'm fairly literate, no one ever seems to have the need to correct me. People don't go around asking me "what" and "what was that" and "what did you say, can you please clarify?" So I think I am understood.

I've spent enough time nitpicking and focusing on what isn't the issue to make myself feel superior to the sweating masses on other discussion forums I frequented. I decided not to bring it with me to the Second Life forums (errrm...fora). I watched Pep run roughshod over that little Irish girl last week, and be an utter prat to Marianne on the other thread, and I wanted no part of that. Its ugly, its mean spirited and if you can only feel good about yourself by putting someone else down, you've got way worse problems than low self esteem.

You don't need to say you're sorry to me Surty, I was being as jokingly flippant (I thought) as you were. And I don't love seeing my beloved written word abused either, I was an English Literature major in college, and love the written word and the way words are strung together. But I don't discount what someone says because they aren't as articulate as I am, nor do I belittle and ridicule someone for a typo or an oversight.

And for the record, you were right abotu the tense thing being wrong, but i was hurrying along and didn't take the time to chose the right word, so shame on me!

There's something contradictory about requiring real voice in a role environment.

I dont want to hear some catperson talking in a way my imagination wouldnt expect from them.

I dont use voice. It lags, I dont have the hardware, and it's nobody's business how i talk except for my RL friends. Since I have a great plan, I just use the phone with them anyway.

Is this concept of requiring voice actually what people use for verification of total strangers?
