Yep water-yuck-. The deep fryer is in the garage if you want to use it sweetie. Just don't forget to wash the cars before you drag it out.

You saw my sims story, didn't you? Why in God's name would you turn me loose with a deep fryer? Do you need the insurance money or something?

OMG, I never thought of that. What a great idea, just let me take all of the valuables out of the house first. Do you think the insurance adjustor will catch on if I do that? I will probably need a good attorney too, do you have any idea where I can find one?

If by "good" you mean covered in 3rd degree grease burns and failed skin grafts, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Even though we are both straight, we should get married to each other. That would definitely bring them together and give them something to talk about.

LOL at me being straight :)

But it would be funny at that lol ...

Id become "that dyke slut".

no . . you get real. what a woman wears isnt a sign of her sexual arousal. it doesnt neccesarily means she wants it. no i dont agree with any of you insisting it means that.

no no no youre missing my point completely. and for the record i agree with Kira.

my point is, with women regardless of what they wear, you cant know if they are having one sexual thought in their heads. well unless they are dripping but im willing to bet the OP doesnt run into that everyday while shopping eh? on the other hand, sometimes literally, a naked male almost ALWAYS is wearing prim gentials that stand at attention. Thats sexual yes? so there is no double standard.

if i see a naked man and his genitals arent trying to poke someones eye out then im not offended by seeing that. why do people equate being naked with sex, regardless of apparel? i dont understand that.

I don't make the rules unfortunately - I'm just telling you plain facts.

if you see someone wearing camo's and a helmet - you can safely assume they are a soldier

If you see someone wearing a peaked cap, badge, and a blue shirt and tie then you could be forgiven for thinking they were a cop

If you see a woman wearing high heels and very little else - its a fairly safe bet she's a practicing member of the oldest profession on earth.

Wearing the uniform of a profession invites people to make certain judgements about you.

I'm not saying its right - I'm just saying thats the way it is

And similarly - as someone else pointed out - the status of a guy's toggle doesn't necessarily indicate his sexual intentions either ;).

Theres an obvious distinction to be made...all of your statements deal directly with RL..not SL

if you see a guy in a helmet carrying a gun in SL..the closest correct assumption is that he's a gun enthusiast not a soldier.

If you see a guy with a badge and blue shirt and a billy stick..he's prolly a rent a security guard or a police enthusiast..not a police man.

If you see a female avatar in SL scantily clad with red high heels...well..she could be a myriad of things...."oldest profession in the world" being ONE of 100s of possibilities.

Thats just the way it is in a virtual world where you can be "anything" you want to be.

Nevertheless - your choice of clothing (or lack of it) creates an impression and invites people to make certain assumptions.

The guy with helmet and gun could be a roleplayer and in reality might hate the army. But as you say the closest correct assumption is that he's a gun enthusiast. You make a judgement based on the way he is dressed.

Whether its SL or RL you make a concious choice on how you wish to be percieved by your choice of clothing.

Again I'm not saying thats right or wrong - thats just the way it is

Actually, it is the way it is for *you* - you are trying to force your perceptions on an entire world, and that's just silly. It is how YOU perceive it, not how it *is*.

And before you bring out the argument that 'everyone you know thinks the same way', since you don't know everyone in the world, you still can't stay it is a constant. You also don't know how many of those people you know say that just to fit in either.

LOL - well I'm flattered that you believe I'm responisble for the entirety of western symbology - but I'm afraid thats simply not the case.

I tell you what - lets have a wee challenge

Would you go wandering around in SL with this symbol on your arm?

Id suggest taking that down - thats going to get you in trouble even with no Moderation on the forums.

Remember Jeska coming to correct Carl about the naked pictures the other day. (even though they sure seemed entirely topical)

Okay...it's Godwin'd...we can put this one to rest...

(edited to add: oh wait...this is one of those "gotcha" moments, where they reveal it's not really a swastika, but an ancient Hindu symbol, and how everyone is so judgemental and how superior that person really is after all...I get it...silly me)

(edited further to add: but this is an old forum trick...shouldn't it count as a Godwin anyway? Or an honorary Godwin?)

(edited a third time to add: but upon reflection...is there really any honor at all in Godwin'ing a thread? So...could there ever really be an honorary Godwin?)

It doesn't matter - that was established on these forums as far back as 2005.

Besides the fact that its in a white circle on a red field - the only thing thats changed is the twisted cross is inverted.

Those "legitimate" uses of the symbol are not on a white circle on the same field.

There was a store that existed that sold non-Nazi twisted cross imagery in 2005 it would constantly be the subject of ARs and whenever the pictures were put up in the forums they were removed.

And they were on completely different fields and weren't even black crosses.
