Well I'm practicing keeping myself in check a lil better, so allow me to say the following is an opinion and entirely unprovable. But allow me to drop a possible scenario into the worx which in my not-so-humble opinion fits all of the presented evidence, 2-A-T.
Let's just suppose for a moment I'm an SL "escort". My primary weapon is going to be a HAWT av with a capital H-A-W-T. This will of course pull in all Pavlovian Dogs within a 64M radius. That of course would be way too many prim sticks to beat of (with a stick), so I'll just add in a counter productive profile. This will nicely weed out those with an IQ high enough to even check the profile. Those have a lower conversion rate anyway, and this will allow more Pavlovs to get thru. I'll need to study clubs very thoroughly as this will be my primary hunting ground. I will also need to become very adept at poseballs for the delivery phase. After delivery phase is where Step 3 - Profit comes in. "Oh I LUV you so much [checks notes] 'Steve'. I don't ever want to be apart from you. But I don't have the $99 to pay for my broadband bill this month!!! Yes I still consider myself very much a noobie, but am thrilled to have acquired so many wonderful friends in the time I have been in SL. I had to work at it very hard, being innately very shy, but found all the advice that has been given to the OP does indeed work (with the correct effort).
