/me is it my turn to speak again?
Now all you noobs out there, I need the pathways on my islands sweeping and whilst you are at it, go and help yourselves to as many freebies as you like or better still set up a shop and charge your other noob friends to buy freebies from you ... wow, rock on the SL economy ... just wish my high horse wasn't so far off the ground, then I would be able to see the noobs wearing their freebie boxes ... pass me the number for the Planning Dept, I'm sure that ugly noob building with it's flashing lights isn't joined at the corners ... oh yes, how about those ugly megaprims and the terrible over-rez textures ... gosh, was I really that cr@p when I started out, not a chance.
/me whistles as he sees the sun shining up in the sky ... shame my high-horse casts a shadow on the noob confusion down there

/me whistles as he sees the sun shining up in the sky ... shame my high-horse casts a shadow on the noob confusion down there You could also go down, and help them with their outfit. They are noobs, thus they don't know how the game works. But you don't help them, you enjoy watching them struggle. Therefore I rather have a thousands noobs walking around, than such an upscale "paying" member that is so full of himself, but doesn't really contribute to the game other than sending some lousy Dollars to Linden Labs, who in turn don't do anything for the newbies as well. Notice that freebie houses are made by paying residents. Paying lot's of money to have their shop up, and give stuff away to get the new players a bit more comfortable. I also build items, which are, to my standards, pretty well done. I give them away for free to anyone interested. Maybe you should do that too. Spot an ugly noob, and give away your stuff so he/she won't look ugly. problem solved. Also, if their crappy looking buildings disturb you, give them one that doesn't. I build a few houses that look fair, and they're free. Sure you can yell at them for their ugly house. But that doesn't help them, and it's not your intention to help them, which makes you a horrible person in my opinion.

As if the thread title weren't clue enough, it's now an even more obvious trolling.
Congrats, we are not worthy, U rool d'InterWebz, etc.

From: Argent Stonecutter Not until you learn how to use emotes. Hahaha. Good one, Argent. I don't know why but I feel the need to add my 2 L$ to this stupid thread. #1 Let's not forget that M Linden has been quoted saying that Premium Memberships mean nothing to LL's business therefore the whole "I pay my way and SL would not exist except for people like me" argument really does not hold much weight. #2 Hats off to anyone that spends time helping noobs. I have done it on occasion and I have to say it is EXAUHSTING... particularly if you have to type rather than using voice. Answering the 100s of questions and trying to explain things to people is a TON of work.

Answering the 100s of questions and trying to explain things to people is a TON of work. Oh yes, especially the sign, "newbie helper" above my head helps. Newbies instinctively know you're there to help them. Odd isn't it? But I keep such help in IM windows, and if it's busy, they just need to be patient. I hand out folders with stuff which goes really quick. Most newbies have enough to start off with my special starterkit. Contains links to freebie houses, help islands and other useful places and a bunch of Linden Dollars to get stuff rolling a bit. and of course the default SL notecards containing how to's on every subject. It's easier this way, and you don't have to repeat everything all the time. Since Hanja is the first newbie landingzone, it get's quite crowded in there as well. I'm just easy to spot, despite the fact I'm little.

From: 3Ring Binder very cute. that's one of those whole prim heads, right? The most important part of the UR is a chin mounted prim, and eyeballs attached to each eyeball, making it look like this. The head figure is odd, so you can't use just any shape, and prim hair only, since normal hair doesn't function. And yes, I've only seen two other people on SL using the UR shape. I customized it a bit further, so I also have other shapes than the short default one, and a better skin. A flashmob of Unreal avi's? That would do Kiki no.18 very good financially And they deserve it for such quality primwear. the basic UR avi is 300 L$. the better doll shape ones are better, but 900 l$, which is still not a lot. I also make clothing and other objects for the Unreal avi, making it even more special.

Maybe I've missed it along the way here, but I think that any such discussion about "noobs" should at least define what a "noob" is. I would suggest; "Anyone joining SL in March 2008 or later."

Ok here's my 2 cents on this one. You could have been here for 8 months... and yes i am still a n00b. I have learned alot and work hard in SL for every Linden i make. I don't camp or take freebie money from people. Not every new player is a leech off of other paying players. Accept and move on. LL set this game up so people don't or can't pay for the game can still play. Yes, the benefits if you pay are there. You get some income and you can have a business. I do not own land nor do i think i would want to. I am glad to give my hard earned money to someone who has the ability who can afford to own a sim.
Any new players thinking of coming to SL, please ignore this thread. Not everyone in SL feels this way. Actually, most don't... just a few people out there like this.

But for the definition of noob, I definitely means you when you say I. erm...wait...what was I talking about again? I being of course me and not you....Unless..uh oh..there I go again....that is, you would say.... *sigh*
