Definitely read the profile and attempt real conversation. Chat vs IM sort of depends upon the setting for me. I don't mind the IM if there is a lot going on in Chat already. The one True Hallmark of Maturity in a person is SELF CONTROL.

All you Really Need to remember is that they are Mature Sims, Not IMMATURE Sims. Try not to act like a Hormonal Teenager with an Impulse control Problem. Yes, Sexual activities take Place on some Mature sims but that doesn't mean they are all Continuous Open for all Orgies. in Many Cases people have Chosen the Mature Content simply because they don't want a "Big brother" moderating what they can Talk about, Display, or do.. They Feel adult enough to Take responsibility for what they see, say, and do.

In the case of someone strutting about with a Prim Penis, asking everyone "Wanna F*ck?" That is NOT Mature behaviour, It's Infantile, and won't be Tolerated even on the Sims where Sexual activities are available, and Common. A certain amount of Discresion, and Elan are expected.

Mature does NOT automaticly mean SEX. In The Sims Online, a Platform where adults, and Teens Mingled Freely, Many Homes were designated "ADULTS ONLY" Teens would disguise themselves, and drop in, and be extremely disappointed when they didn't Find wild sex Parties. The Comment of one as he Left, "You call this an adult house, You Guys are a Bunch of Nuns". People designated as Adults only Not to have Private Places for Sex, But Private Places where Adults could speak freely to other adults without having to put up with the annoying antics of Sexually Aggressive Teenagers. Maturity for these people meant the freedom simply to Express themselves As Adults.
