He sounds like an estimable old Gentleman.

Although it does provoke the question........How did he get in the house when he misplaced his front door key ?

With his penis.

What would really be interesting would be to see how many cartel members actually paired up and started pixel humping at some of these places.

Damn which alt got your alt pregnant again?

"Now honey, time for some fun"
".pony", "/nadu"
"Damn whats wrong with your collar today?"

"Umm who are you?"

"damn, wrong alt......................"

Back to topic .. and yes there are some gems in there Cherry ...

On the occasion I've wandered through some of the 'playgrounds' for the aforementioned laugh I've met an interesting spectrum of visitors there ranging from Day 2 newborn who are merely looking around for the first time to rather well constructed, very attractive female avatars.

The newborn often start asking questions which would not be out of place here, to which I respond as I would here.

The sometimes stunningly attractive will usually get my observation of lovely hair .. or fabulous lingerie ... or wonderful face etc and respond with a thankyou, often developing into a discussion about content creation and creators. I may spend anything up to the next hour in an interesting and completely un-smutty conversation.

Either way, this results in my logging out from SL considerably later than I expected. Maybe I ought to join Trout's exclusive 'How not to have SLex in SL' club.

I met a really good friend at Neva Naughty. He had the sense to see that what I was doing was meant to be amusing (there was a huge bunch of us) and we got talking. We keep ALMOST setting up in business making furniture, except he is an incurable romantic and keeps floating off to get his heart broken. And I am just lazy.

Bilbo's obs. about ultra-sexy avatars is fascinating. Many /seem/ to set themselves up that way simply so they can dump their ill-will on anyone who notices them (alts are a great way of establishing whether it's you, or their cliche picture of what your alt must mean about you, in this situation). Others are doing the "this is the inner me" routine, which sidesteps the minor detail that the "inner me" is a complete bastard in terms of handling other people. Then there are those whose communication is entirely non-verbal - I've met no end of fabulously attractive girl-vatars, whose written output consists of "tks bb" and "u too bb". There is, quite literally, just simply nobody home...

While I agree about the cheesiness of pickup lines, I would also like to point out that IMs or room-chat can also be used for "narrative actions". For example, if I suspect that a girl-vatar is somewhat jaded or burned out from jock overload, I may try sending a message formatted thus:

/me considers buying BimboBoobs Biggass-ski a large drink to recover from all the idiots in here

which shows in her IM window as:

"Gummi Richthofen considers buying [...]"

I'm amazed that this style of narrated non-talking communication isn't more widespread, given how prevalent it used to be in IRC.

And there's the rub. Lots of us were from IRC - that had it's fair share of bozos but they were at least generally fairly literate bozos.

I think you're right re the stream of inanity - maybe this is why I am scary and don't get chatted up :) Not JUST looking like a monkey.

Why bother going to clubs or adult venues? Just fly around til you see someone working on her deck, and then land, sit on what she's working on, and ask her in broken English, "you like to talk the sex?"

Oh wait...that happened to me lately. It didn't work for him, it probably won't for you either -- unless you're really cute, and have lost the newbie shoes.

;-)

On a similiar theme....how many of you Control/Alt T in a group to see who is packing and what they're packing? Saint's preserve us, I can't help myself!

Ah, the Control/Alt/T! I think in all honesty I only use it now to find the barman ball at the hangout.

Bilbo, I think we need to have a 'bloke chat' later on today.

I think I may need some more of your invaluable tips.

Couldn't have been, Cherry. I've been posting longer than SL's been in bidness.

But my former forum is like watching paint dry lately, and this is lively.

There. And everywhere.

Sorry Cherry, but seeing your second name always reminds of a rude joke I know:

What do you can a fa*ny that takes messages?

An answering cervix.
